Do Sul de Minas para a Grécia: conexões que aproximam o café do mundo. 🇬🇷☕🌎

Por dois dias, a Minasul recebeu uma importante companhia grega em uma agenda de prospecção, relacionamento e conhecimento, dedicada a apresentar a força da cafeicultura do Sul de Minas e o trabalho desenvolvido pela Cooperativa.

Entre cuppings e encontros, nossos visitantes conheceram os cafés dos cooperados Minasul e puderam compreender, de perto, a diversidade de perfis, a qualidade e a origem que fazem parte da nossa identidade.

A programação também levou o grupo à Fundação Procafé e à Fazenda dos Tachos, em Varginha, proporcionando uma experiência completa sobre a pesquisa, a produção e as particularidades dos cafés da nossa região.

Uma agenda que conecta origem e mercado, promove intercâmbio de conhecimento e abre novas possibilidades para os cafés dos nossos cooperados além das fronteiras.

Porque levar o café Minasul ao mundo começa por construir relações que valorizam a sua origem. ☕🌎

From Southern Minas to Greece: connections that bring coffee closer to the world. 🇬🇷☕🌎

For two days, Minasul hosted a major Greek company for a program focused on prospecting, relationship-building, and knowledge-sharing, dedicated to showcasing the strength of coffee farming in Southern Minas and the work carried out by the Cooperative.

Between cuppings and meetings, our visitors sampled coffees from Minasul members and gained a firsthand understanding of the diversity of profiles, quality, and origins that are part of our identity.

The itinerary also took the group to the Procafé Foundation and Fazenda dos Tachos in Varginha, providing a comprehensive experience of the research, production, and unique characteristics of our region’s coffees.

An itinerary that connects origin and market, promotes the exchange of knowledge, and opens new possibilities for our members’ coffees beyond our borders.

Because bringing Minasul coffee to the world begins with building relationships that value its origin. ☕🌎

A couple of days ago in Valencia, I had the opportunity to speak about a topic that continues to challenge and reshape the coffee industry:

“Sustainable Coffee in Practice: Between Impact, Trade-offs and Reality.”

One of the main ideas behind the talk was that sustainability in coffee has moved far beyond simple definitions or marketing language.

Today, the conversation includes climate pressure, economic viability, compliance requirements, labour realities, supply chain transparency, and the difficult trade-offs that exist across the value chain.

What I find particularly important is that sustainability should not only be discussed as an environmental concept, but as the long-term ability of coffee systems — and the people behind them — to remain resilient under increasing pressure.

We often talk about sustainability as an ambition.
But increasingly, it is becoming a question of operational decisions, accountability, and strategic thinking.

Thank you to everyone who attended the session and contributed to such thoughtful discussions afterwards.
