The magic of just a few drops! Watch the last bit when she walks to the long mirror! This is what it is all about…the positive emotional impact we can achieve with what we do in clinic. There are so many take-home messages in this video…note I purposely showed Heather the mirror after just 0.15 ml before finishing the treatment of only 1ml total. So often people ask: “How many mls are you going to use in my lips (or wherever)” or even tell me how much to use! (If they do that I don’t treat them anyway). This video demonstrates so well, the point that it is what you inject and where and how and not the amount that really is the art that makes the difference. Just a few moments from a fast-paced and incredible 48 hours in Toronto last week. Thank you to @plasmatology_group for the gracious invitation to speak at their annual summit.

My schedule was meticulously handled (special thanks to Clarissa and June!), my hosts could not have been any warmer, and the attendees were impressively engaged right till when it finished at 2230! Every aspect of the summit was superbly organised.

Day 2 was a workshop led by one of the pioneers of ‘Soft Surgery’ @sotiris.tsioumas and again, the hunger for knowledge from the attendees was evident; I was sharing tips and tricks right until I got dropped off to the airport!

Thanks to Kim and all, for making my first trip to Canada 🇨🇦 such a memorable one but the next visit must be longer!

Day five after NeoGen, and my skin is feeling almost back to normal. There are still a couple of small areas peeling, but overall, my complexion is looking fresh and glowing.

I’m already really happy with my skin quality thanks to my skincare routine. My main reason for having NeoGen was to address skin laxity, while also supporting improvements in texture and tone. I’m looking forward to seeing how my skin continues to settle and change over time.

GF5 and Stress Defence have been my go-to duo throughout recovery, helping keep my skin feeling comfortable and hydrated.

The peeling is nearly over, and I’m excited to see how the results develop in the weeks ahead.

Before you get into the treatment chair, ask yourself: have I actually had a proper consultation?

A few minutes chatting about what you want, followed by a quick mention of bruising and swelling, is nowhere near enough.

You should understand what’s being proposed, why it’s suitable for you, the risks, the alternatives and what happens if something goes wrong.

For first timers, particularly with fillers, I generally recommend a consultation on a separate day. You need time to think, ask questions and make an informed decision.

If those conversations aren’t happening, that’s a big red flag. 🚩 Don’t get in the chair.

Simon is a gym nut and I had the privilege of being trained by him some years back. One morning, at about 6am, he asked what I actually called myself. An aesthetic doctor? A plastic surgeon? A GP? I told him I liked to think of myself as a confidence doctor.

At the time, I had no idea how much he was carrying. After 31 years in the Royal Marines and the police, Simon had been hospitalised with severe PTSD. His marriage had ended, he’d been medically retired, and his confidence had gone with it.

Hearing him say that I helped him feel confident again means a great deal to me. This is my ‘why?’ (Sinek fans will get that)
