POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I've put off posting content for years now, I have a lot of catching up to do.
This one is just to break the ice, no trendy audio or anything, just post and forget.
For those who don't know me I'm a kinesiologist, powerlifter and science-based lifter, although I dislike labels very much.
Lots of posts are on the way. by @pfasih_74

This combo was never meant to stay in my room. Just like me, it’s got its eyes on bigger things.
Can’t wait for the day we can all train together under one roof.
To everyone who didn’t make it into this one, love you all

Pain is complex. Most of the times managing pain requires more than just ignoring it and pushing through or taking time off. Understand the problem, modify what hurts, keep moving as much as you can, and progressively rebuild capacity / tolerance to what hurts. by @pfasih_74

Ben came to me with a herniated disc, intense back pain, and a 462.5kg total.
2 years later:
175 → 235kg Squat
97.5 → 147.5kg Bench
185 → 250kg Deadlift
462.5 → 632.5kg Total
The biggest lesson?
Programming trends are great starting points but not rules.
Once we stopped trying to make Ben fit the typical 59kg lifter guideline and started building around his actual training response, progress became faster, more predictable, and pain-free.
Huge thanks to @bentren66 for trusting the process.
The best programming isn’t the most impressive.
It’s the one the athlete can consistently adapt to. by @pfasih_74

Why your cues might be failing and what to do about it.

Internal cues, external cues, movement constraints… There’s a lot of debate about which one is ā€œbest.ā€ But here’s the reality: there is no perfect answer.

The research leans toward external cueing and movement constraints for force production and skill acquisition. That doesn’t mean internal cues are useless though.

It all comes down to context:

The lifter’s experience level, how they process information, the specific technical issue you’re trying to address, and the phase of training they’re in.

Some lifters respond instantly to internal cues and others need to hear another cue to finally get into a better position. And sometimes no cue works at all. That’s when modifying the exercise itself can do what words can’t.

Every coach develops their own system. Their own manner of communicating technical fixes. What matters isn’t following one method. It’s getting to know your lifter and adapting to them.

The best tool is the one that creates the desired movement pattern for that athlete in that moment. by @pfasih_74
