I am struggling with body dysmorphia right now. It took me awhile to think if I should delete this awesome video sent to me by my friend Arto.

Growing up from the 80s, you cant help it. We were surrounded by billboards, magazine and mtv telling us what size we should be.

So I am posting this video of me so our girls grow up seeing and normalizing different shapely bodies in social media. Pls help spread the word ladies!

Ladies remember:
Your bmi, body fat % or your age doesn’t define your bodies capabilities.

Titan 77.7 Race Recap | 21kms Run +900m Transition 🫠

I was soooo relieved I just tackled 102kms of brutal hills without making the morning knee angry. I wanted to celebrate because I do think I had enough time to stroll the next hot and hilly 21kms.

I have been training the past two months for cold weather so being here in this heat was a challenge. I was glad it was a bit cloudy for a while but then the sun changed its mind. After all nga naman, it wouldn’t be #ToughestDuathloninAsia if it was a cloudy day. So I made sure not to blow up during this hot weather. I had fun cheering and chatting with other participants.

Ang daming ganap.
First I saw my athlete carried by a medic but he assured me it was his call. Then at about 4kms in, I had quite a fright when I saw one of my athletes crying her eyes out sitting on the grass. Took some time to release her cramps sent her on her way. Told her to just finish off her loop. Glad she did. I love chatting with another participant and seeing two butterflies following him. He pointed it was his parents who both passed last September.

It was really a beautiful day. In the midst of the pain, chafing and cramping; sharing the moments with others was the highlight of my day.

And may I just add that I love not having to smell any cigarettes during the route? hahaha Ang sarap huminga. 😂 by @pinaytri

Titan 77.7 Race Recap | 102kms Bike

I’m just glad I checked this one out before I came here. It’s my second time riding these wild hills and with my knee condition I made sure I felt like this ride had “no bearing”. Pwede ba yun?

58% of this ride was done in zone 3. Made sure I ate a lot and just survived those 65kph downhills without crashing on to anyone or a rock.

There was so much debris from the rain the night before. It was quite unreasonable to stay in the “bike lane” especially going down. Those downhills were so fast my shades flew off here last week. Today was bright and sunny and I got to use these ones that were a bit dark for overcast weather.

My @psicustom arm and calf sleeves kept me cool too. It held on to cool water for a long time and I knew I was going to be out for a long time so I had less exposure to UV.

Did my happy dance when I got to T2 because ok pa ang tuhods. Mukhang kaya pa lakarin ang 21kms. So I told my daughter I was going to take my time because I did not want to do anything to aggravate it and result to me getting injured. Besides, I had bigger fish to fry.

Shoutout to the water tent team malapit sa toll. They were amazing. We had fun joking around and taking selfies with their phones. Maraming salamat po sa pag aruga sa amin. And shawtawt to coach @pawiefornea before sa dalawang malulupit na ahon. Salamat sa ice na nasa likod ko. 😁

@do_what_lit grabe ganda pa din condition ng bike. Parang lumilipad. Loving my race fit also from sir @mito_fluidfit 🫶🏻

Titan 77.7 Race Recap | 4kms Run +900meter transition 🥲

Na wish ko sana 4kms swim na lang. Char.

On my way to transition, my good knee for 9 years had this mysterious pain that did not come from stepping. It was hard to bend or it would hurt when I point my foot inwards. It was just there and it would not go away. I was so afraid it would get really painful throughout the race hence that look on my face at the first two photos.

At about 2kms saw athlete 410 crash in front of me. He fell hard and I remember how that felt when it happened to me in Venice Half Marathon. I made sure he didn’t injure his spine and neck and called him a medic. But a few mins later he caught up to me in T1. What a trooper! Now we are FB friends.😂

I was so careful with my steps and I was really focused not to miss a tile or an uneven surface. And it was still dark and alam na my eyes medge malabo na. My knee pain was just throbbing and I kept thinking about all the races that I have signed up till June of 2027. I was already recalculating in my head my recovery and all my options just to get me through Dec 5 for Ironman Oman.

After 3kms my knee pain went away I prayed that it stayed that way EVEN with all the hills on the bike that I was about to tackle.

I’ve always been afraid of duathlons because I’m afraid to fail. Duathlons really are not my thing but early this year I decided to face my fear and finally sign up for a duathlon. And I signed up for the #ToughestDuathlonInAsia.

This morning started with a mysterious knee ache. The “good” knee that have carried me for seven years healing the “bad” knee finally said- I aint having none of this.

Still faced my fear and got to start line. Decided to really pull back on the run part. But surprisingly after 3kms it went away.

My goodness that was some crazy bike ride, glad to have got through it in ample time and safe. Nevertheless I had fun seeing friends and meeting new friends along the way too.

Sir Ric who I checked when he fell down the first run. The chat with runner where he was followed by two butterflies, and found out both his parents passed away last september. The ladies who cheered and sprayed when my left butt cheek when it cramped. The online followers who expressed their appreciation for my posts. And magnesium girl who helped out athletes, like my athlete when she had a hard time. As @tribasketbolista said, that is the community. That is family.

Glad to ba part of the Titan Family now. Nyemas ang hirap ha. Would I do it again… hmm let’s just say, I’m not saying yes… yet. 😂 Hindi din ako nag “no”

4km run- 102km bike- 21km run. DONE ✅ Mesheket.

I just kept quite the whole bus ride home. I waited till I was by my house. I waited for my yaya to open the bus door and as I passed by, I grabbed his hair and banged that head twice or thrice.

And then I went down the bus like nothing happened. Everyone was stunned and left me alone after that. by @pinaytri

Building good habits doesn’t have to be complicated. I stay on track by setting clear goals, preparing ahead, and keeping my routine simple.

That’s why I always have Selecta Adult Active, ready to grab and go. It fits easily into my day and helps support the active lifestyle I’m working toward, one simple habit at a time.

Always down for some fun run 🏃🏻‍♀️

@zaloraph x @womensfitnessasia x @nike Pegasus 42

Fun fact: one of my first running shoes is a Pegasus 35 Turbo CNY back in 2019. It got me through a few races, in the snow and in the desert too! Now reunited this time with Pegasus 42, same stable silhoutte that I remembered but different, ya know what I’m saying?? Broke in my pair with an easy 3K run around BGC. So happy to run with familiar faces and meet new ones!

Thanks for having me!
