My job is many things, and it takes me to many places, but maybe the most magical of all is painting the moment people exchange vows on their wedding day.
.
Thank you @joshuapatrickphotography for snapping this action shot in the secret forest of @chaucerbarn for Gemma and Jake. If you're getting married soon then check him out!
.
Hobbit themed or otherwise, if you fancy an impressionism interpretation of your wedding ceremony, the venue building, or something to sum up the day as a whole then pop me a message.

"Ever Wild", 2026. Acrylic on Canvas.
Inspired by the novel "Hunt the Ever Wild" by S. E. Kiser, painted for @wizardsflame 🐦‍🔥
Book published by @angryrobotbooks
.
I wanted this piece to heavily use the Phoenix's symbolism of eternity and the pursuit of perfection in the book, and settled on using an Enso Circle in the tail through palette knife strokes. Without giving away too much, The King's blind desire to achieve his goal also made me incorporate a subtle Fibonacci Spiral.
Painting can subtly be extremely mathematical, and it's something I love weaving in wherever I can.
It was also really good to use a limited but entirely new colour palette to what I'm used to working with.
.
Thank you Gemma for the challenge, and I hope it met any and all expectations for our collaboration. 🎨 🖌️

Mural 2 - Central Map @st_saviours_yard - In Bloom 🪷🌿
.
The second mural took a little longer to complete due to the insane heatwave over the summer (and I have especially translucent skin that sets alight very easily!) but was based around the ever growing life that is blooming here at the yard. I wanted to create something fresh and bright as each unit is now settled in and filled with life, too.
.
Images of from sketchbook to watercolour studies to the different layers of creation ✏️

And now, a big sleep 💤

Mural 1 - North Side @st_saviours_yard - Rock Daisies 🌞
.
You may have noticed I've been painting fewer pieces this year, as instead one of my major projects has been designing and painting two big murals for St Saviours Yard.
.
These snaps are of a little behind the scenes of the concept design and process of the first mural for the yard. Whenever I have creative block, I always come back to doodling rock daisies based very loosely on Edelweiss flowers - Tenacious little blooms that thrive in the harshest most unexpected places.
.
Now that both murals are complete I'm so happy I can show them off properly 💖
It's taken me a long while to complete due to my M.E/CFS, and I've also had lots of lovely people giving me a helping hand on the manual labour end, but massive thanks to Meanwhile Creative for being patient with me and asking me to brighten up the place.

AI could never replace the feeling of making art with your friends 💖
Painting a mural is a big job so I enlisted the help of @livpaintsbuildings for the outline spray portion of the central mural at @st_saviours_yard .
This entire project has shown how many people are willing to show up for me and help. That's a warm fuzzy heart glow no algorithm can take away from anyone.
.
Liv normally paints pictures of buildings and their walls, but I think she's done great the first time using a can to paint ON a real life wall. What do you think?

Transformation MAGIC! ✨

I've been slowly teaching Pinch how to do magic in exchange for learning about art! It's always so fun to Collab on a project like this, stretching out both of our wings!

This book has been such a JOY to work on, Thank you @angryrobotbooks and S.E Kiser for creating a stunning world.

Now to hop into a portal for the November Box, I wonder where this will take us!

Finding the Phoenix, to capture her on a canvas.
It has been a joy to work on this extra special piece for @wizardsflame inspired by the novel by S. E. Kiser 🐦‍🔥
Published by @angryrobotbooks
.
"Ever Wild" 2026 limited edition prints have now left the spell tower inside your tomes, and the Phoenix has flown them to your clutches.
Meanwhile, the original piece and I wandered to Litchenwald where she could be revealed in all her glory.
.
Here's to chasing the seemingly impossible ❤️🧡💛

Thank you @isosteve100 for these shots of my latest piece "Evenfall Light" when it was almost complete. It's so fun to see such a colourful piece in monotone, and helped me identify where I needed to boost the highlights a tiny bit more!
You can catch the completed piece until the 30th of September at Gallery 56 as part of the Eastward Artist Collective group exhibition.
.
If you're unfamiliar with Steve's work, check it out!

How do you put two exhibits from two different centuries in one painting and it still makes sense?
My favourite exhibits in the @museumofnorwich are Samson, the lost and found oak pillar, and the pharmaceutical collection donated by John Newstead.
It was a lot of trial and error to get the essence of these two together into one cohesive work, but if you want to find out how then come along to my talk at the museum this Saturday evening. Tickets available from the Norfolk Museum Service website (head to my bio!) and there will be a Q&A for all your arty questions, too 🎨
.
See you there x
