Smelled this as soon as I opened the cabinet! #hoyaeloisa (elliptica x erythrina, GTX05) much fuller than the first time it bloomed.

My heart dropped when I saw the box on the porch!! This was an expensive order - and even with the ‘fragile’ sticker the box was broken and caved in 💔 luckily the @secondcitytropicals had packed these with so much care!! There was a lot of padding inside the box and each plant was also wrapped in additional padding!!

Swipe to see the beauties I got my hands on!! I’m so excited to add these to the collection

Finally!! Poor darling #hoyaseed002 burned when I put her out this spring, our Texas summers are not fun for sure! With the cooler fall temps and the sun moving off the patio she’s turning that gorgeous bronze sunstress 🤩

This one is huge and I didn’t even notice how much it had colored till I took it down from the top of the shelf - got her from @unsolicited.plant.talks a few years ago. One of my favorite Hoyas from them

My favorite native - #blackfootdaisy … I discovered these this year while researching Texas natives and I’m obsessed. I’ve got them all over the garden and want to add more next year. They smell so delicious and survived our brutal summer …

Finally after waiting for ever I get to see #hoyasf004 bloom!! This one has been very hard for me to bloom despite a double peduncles.

For years it’d just blow the blooms before they opened. I noticed the second peduncle on this a few weeks ago looking like it was about to bloom one evening, but when I checked the next morning it was closed. Happened to see them open this morning as I walked by and immediately took it out for pictures!! I wasn’t missing them again!! Seems like this one is a night bloomer that stays open a few hours the next day.

Mild fragrance. I’d say a nutty fragrance, reminds me of guava

Introducing Hoya Swiffer’s Dynasty (RHM2528 sp. Borneo x unk)… I can’t even being to tell you my excitement when @ricfl asked if I’d like this one to have. ‘Swiffer’ name!! She’s got massive pillowy leaves, and the name fits her perfectly!!

Love the glossy large leaves on this seedling from @ricfl that I grew from last years seeds. This is one I’m keeping for my personal collection.

If anyone is interested in seedlings hit me up, I have a ton I need to clear out before my plant room turns into a jungle

I have waited years for this bloom!! I worried that the grasshoppers will eat if before it bloomed, but looks like they mostly left it alone!! #hoyameliflua lived indoors on a shelf for years, I finally decided to give it some outdoor time this summer, it paid off with my first ever bloom!! I got this one for the blooms. Had decided if I didn’t get any this year it was going to be on my get rid of list.

My new loves from @unsolicited.plant.talks

And it looks like I did it again - got another of the same plant - I thought I had Mitrata (silver Buntok) so I got Mitrata (silver, Borneo) but it looks like what I had before was the same 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

Something special arrived from @unsolicited.plant.talks today!! I’ll post pictures of my goodies later after I’ve had time to photograph them properly!!

Unsolicited Plant Talks is one of my favorite small businesses to shop from. Everything I’ve ever received from them is gorgeous and they are SO nice!! They actually held this package for me for a bit longer than they usually do because I was out of the country. It’s definitely nice to have it arrive after I’ve recovered from my jet lag 😂
