“At Plume, we’re committed to making good things with good people. Our studio is driven by the exploration of how we live and move within our landscapes, and the stories these insights enable us to tell.

We believe in the power of interacting with nature and the benefits of forming a connection that’s authentic to you and your space. From small gardens to significant exterior spaces, we create environments that reflect your vision and best support the way you spend your time outdoors. In doing so, we hope to redefine each space and create gardens that become the backdrop for future moments of pure enjoyment, entertainment, and reflection.” - Heath Blair, Director ✌🏻

‘Lempriere’, completed 2024. One of our favourites — gravel, water and a garden that doesn’t know where to stop. 🍂

‘I spent a lot of time gardening with my grandfather as a child in country Victoria and just as much time wandering through scrub and bushland. I was always allowed to explore and never quite knew what was around the next corner. That sense of curiosity and discovery has stayed with me and continues to influence how I think about landscapes today.’ - Heath Blair 🦎

Last month we sat down with at @meganmayrawson of @est_living to talk about all things PLUME. Thanks to the team at Est. for sharing my story.

Pride of Tenerife, in full flight on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Echium simplex gives everything to a single spike of small white flowers. It blooms once, sets seed and fades, so we plant it for this moment alone. Framed here by mature Phoenix roebelenii over an understorey of Grevillea, Philodendron and an array of grasses 🌴 by @plume__studio

COMBE MARTIN | Tree Day.

I don’t think I have ever been quite so happy on a building site.

The weather was absolutely brutal. Freezing cold, pouring rain, mud everywhere, and yet I could barely contain my excitement.

Walking onto site and seeing these magnificent trees arriving, watching the @wilmark.lc team carry them into position through the mud, was one of those moments I will never forget.

We have spent so long imagining how this garden would feel, how the trees would frame the house, soften the architecture and create these beautiful spaces around our home. And suddenly, standing there in the rain, I could see it all coming together.

There is something incredibly emotional about seeing a vision you have carried in your head for so long become a reality, especially when it is your own home.

I have such admiration for the incredible team at @wilmark.lc, who worked tirelessly in the most challenging conditions, and @plume__studio, whose beautiful vision for the landscape is finally taking shape.

I honestly didn’t want the day to end. Despite the cold, the rain and the mud, I was completely in my element.

One of my happiest days at Combe Martin so far.

Welcome to Honeysuckle House in Shoreham, a project completed by our team in 2019.

A landscape thoughtfully designed to seamlessly flow into the natural bushland surrounding beyond. The restrained planting palette provides colour and texture throughout all seasons. 🌾🪻

A complete look at one of our latest projects, ‘The Courtyard House’, completed in 2024. Newly photographed, the now established landscaping includes variations in scale and texture, creating depth and atmosphere, allowing the garden to unfold gradually and reveal distinct moods throughout. 🍁🍃

Winter doesn’t slow our gardens down. The bare branches, the structure, the quiet shapes this season brings. This Brighton garden was designed to perform in every season. ❄️

Rather than a single expansive garden, this Hampton residence unfolds as a series of courtyard spaces intertwined with the building.

Each is linked, yet shaped by its own planting palette and depth, giving every moment a distinct nuance 🐚
