We love libraries and are so thankful that an institution like the Sierra Leone Library Board still exists!

“Even though we are now competing with technology, we still know our place in society. We know that we are providers of relevant information. We know that we are curators of historical knowledge, “ says Dunstanette I.O. Bodkin, the Deputy Chief Librarian of the Sierra Leone Library Board.

In this virtual interview with Poda-Poda Stories, Bodkin spoke to Ngozi Cole about the importance of childhood reading and why public libraries will always be relevant, even in the age of AI. #clicklinkinbio to read the full interview.

“Just write. Take any idea you have, then put pen to paper. You may doubt yourself and your work, but a blank page will always be worse than anything you could write. Above all else, make sure that there’s passion behind your words.”

Sierra Leonean writer Hafeez Taqi talks to @podapodastories’ Mayenie Conton about being a published author and his debut short story collection. Click on the #linkinbio to read the full interview.
