Been thinking about my mom this weekend, of course. I don’t have nearly enough pictures of her but my Aunt @bettygraham sent me this one recently. My mom Connie on the right, her sister my Aunt Diane on the left, and my cousin Kelly.💕 Sending strength to others who are celebrating moms they’ve lost and sending love and warmth to my nieces who were also too young when they lost their moms. 💕🖤💪🏾🙏🏽 by @profcsmith

Been posting about graduation the last few days. I love graduation—the pomp and circumstance, the achievements and possibilities that are represented in the graduates. Having taken the year off from graduation last year, and listening to podcasts about the science of awe—one aspect of which is being overwhelmed by acts of human perseverance, courage, and ethics—I’m newly aware of how awe-inspiring it is to be in the midst of such goodwill and achievement. I even got misty-eyed when the graduates processed in!💪🏾🙏🏽 💥🌟💫🍾🍾
