Thank you @zhiyun_tech for sending over the X100 for review 🙏

And @projectstartshere for filming this awesome intro that was hampered by my inability to take myself seriously 😬

Shoutout to @soulcombo and @vfcreatives for helping me test it out

Just wrapped on this architecture documentary. One thing that stuck with me from all these interviews is how many people, roles, and stories go into projects like these. With this piece the goal was just to capture a glimpse of what that looks like.

At heart the doc follows two architecture firms in BC who were awarded the Lieutenant Governor's Award by the AFBC (Architecture Foundation of BC) But the project opens up into something bigger— a look at:

-How these buildings are actually lived in and experienced
-How they respond to their surroundings, whether urban or rural,
-The community they shape
-What architecture and design excellence looks like right now

Look forward to sharing the doc later this year. taken in Beautiful British Columbia by @projectstartshere

Show, Don’t Tell
Excited to finally share this one, a spec commercial for @garmin

As an athlete, personal trainer, and now someone reaching bigger audiences through social media, the same has stayed constant: pushing to the next level and uplifting the people around. Walking the walk as much as the talk, and that’s exactly what drew us to creating this piece.

So we wanted to share a glimpse of that. Where it stems from, what motivates underneath it all, then built the piece around that core. We shot over a couple of days with a great crew helping bring this idea to life.

Quick recap of a recent project. This one came together fast, from the initial idea to the shoot. The weather actually helped shape a lot of the final look.

Here’s the director’s cut.

A special milestone for a project we’ve been quietly building over the past few months.

We’ve been working with the Architecture Foundation of British Columbia (AFBC) on a documentary highlighting this year’s Lieutenant Governors Award in Architecture, held every two years to celebrate outstanding architectural work across the province.

This year’s recipients, McFarland Marceau Architects for the Northern Secwépemc Cultural Centre and Revery Architecture for The Butterfly Building, each brought something unique to B.C.’s architectural landscape, both deeply rooted in place and purpose.

With my background in architecture and Shane Hauser, who co-directed the film and continues to practice, this project has been a full circle moment. Our goal is to celebrate these projects while framing them within the ongoing story of West Coast Modernism and how design continues to evolve in British Columbia.

Big thank you to Kelsey Wilkinson and the AFBC board for their continued support. Here’s the trailer that premiered at last night’s awards — more filming to come through the rest of the year.

Interview setup from our recent rebrand shoot with @pgperformance.

The goal of this piece was to bring impact to a new chapter for the shop — sharing the shift in direction in a way that felt honest and grounded. We kept things minimal with a simple interview setup to spotlight the connection between Paul and his customers.

Here’s a look behind the scenes. White backdrop, key light, and a clean FX3 setup to keep the focus on the story.

First Frame – Paul
Frames 2 & 3 – Dialing in the seating position and lighting
Last 2 Frames – Some BTS clips captured via iPhone
