Just wrapped on this architecture documentary. One thing that stuck with me from all these interviews is how many people, roles, and stories go into projects like these. With this piece the goal was just to capture a glimpse of what that looks like.

At heart the doc follows two architecture firms in BC who were awarded the Lieutenant Governor's Award by the AFBC (Architecture Foundation of BC) But the project opens up into something bigger— a look at:

-How these buildings are actually lived in and experienced
-How they respond to their surroundings, whether urban or rural,
-The community they shape
-What architecture and design excellence looks like right now

Look forward to sharing the doc later this year.

Show, Don’t Tell
Excited to finally share this one, a spec commercial for @garmin

As an athlete, personal trainer, and now someone reaching bigger audiences through social media, the same has stayed constant: pushing to the next level and uplifting the people around. Walking the walk as much as the talk, and that’s exactly what drew us to creating this piece.

So we wanted to share a glimpse of that. Where it stems from, what motivates underneath it all, then built the piece around that core. We shot over a couple of days with a great crew helping bring this idea to life.

Documenting the Butterfly + First Baptist Complex

We're working on something special with @architecturefoundationbc @projectstartshere @shanehauser that we are looking forward to releasing later this year.

Design Principal @venelin_kokalov and Director Amirali Javidan are going in depth into the Butterfly and First Baptist Complex to explain the process, decisions, and insights from designing at an urban scale to intimate sensorial experiences.

Ad campaign inspired by Milwaukee, shaped around our experience.  To start the year, we pulled together a few friends and built a spec piece with what was already there. With the tools and the garage ready to go and a simple concept around what a shop day means to us, we shaped the story and shotlist from the ground up.  From early morning setup to friends dropping by and a finish project by night, seeing this come together was a rewarding process.  #filmmaking #commercialfilm #specwork #behindthescenes #cinematography
