Continuing our rollout of the new municipal brand design for @cityofellsworthmaine ✨ a beautifully hand-wrought depiction of Ellsworth City Hall’s cupola, customized type for “Ellsworth” and fully custom hand-wrought letterforms for “The” and “Maine” in the taglines. The scope included primary and secondary logos for light and dark backgrounds, color palette, brand typography, brand guidelines, custom icons and illustrations, canva templates and stationery. Another logo added to City of Portland’s brand tool kit - specifically for their Office of Sustainability. Grow Wild Portland aims to transform Portland’s streets and yards into vibrant habitats for pollinating insects, birds, and other wildlife by encouraging community members to build native plant gardens in front of their homes and in their yards. The result will be beautiful, low maintenance, and drought tolerant landscapes that increase urban biodiversity and build community resilience. A refreshed visual identity for the City of Ellsworth, Maine. Designed to feel welcoming, clear, and easy to use — built for the people who live, work, and engage with the city every day. The logo system is inspired by City Hall’s cupola, supported by flexible colorways and variations that work across signage, print, and digital applications. A warm serif wordmark and hand-drawn details for “The” and “Maine” bring a human, local feel to the typography. Ellsworth’s color palette is rooted in the City’s history and surrounding Maine landscape. Maroon serves as the grounding civic color, intentionally aligned with the local school system, supported by Cloud and Neutral tones with natural accents inspired by the river and coastal environment. Each color includes a tonal value used for icons and illustrations, creating subtle, tone-on-tone applications for background use. We also created a full set of supporting assets — including icons, a City Hall illustration, and a unified type and brand palette — along with practical tools for everyday use: stationery, presentations, social media, and internal staff templates. The result is a cohesive, accessible identity that helps the city communicate clearly and consistently across every touchpoint. Excited to share Inspire Vancouver’s branding! This was a collaborative effort with @abbyswaindesign and @sabrinavolante over the winter. Inspire Vancouver focuses on four main pillars: Arts, Culture, Heritage, and Science by bringing arts and culture to schools and neighborhoods, helping seniors, kids, and families with less income, and supporting cultural groups to reach more people. By investing in creativity and innovation, Inspire Vancouver hope to spark new ideas and build stronger connections across their community.
