Welcome back to your Weekly Rock Rating 🎶🪨 🪨 Are you tired of having insignificant doorknobs? Have you ever invited a gaggle of guests over to your place only to be hit with a fusillade of biting criticism? i.e, "Wow, Tammy, your doorknob is more basic than drain cleaner! Suddenly, I don’t want to play Cards Against Humanity and gorge myself on Chex Mix with you.” Introducing the new top-of-the-line product: Rock! Once you’ve got this game-changer installed, you’ll need to stock the shelves with as much Chex Mix as it can physically hold, because you’ll have guests coming over throughout all hours of the day, almost always unprompted. Even strangers you’ve never met will be flocking onto your private property just to wrap their fingers around your alluring knob. Already have a rock for a doorknob? A-okay! You can slap this product on anything: Give your shower handle a metamorphic tang or make the safe holding all of your valuables impossible to unlock! Call 1-800-8888 right now - if no one picks up, you’ll have to send an email to Rocks4Life@hotmail.com. I don’t make the rules. We’re all trying our best out here. We’re under staffed. I don’t want to hear it. In the time it takes you to be grumpy and complain, you could’ve sent the email. Take a hike, Winston - and you’ll receive not three, not four, but TWO rocks for the price of two!WOWOWOWOW! Oh waiter, I’ll have what they’re having! So pour yourself a bowl of Chex Mix and start making your home rock hard. This get’s an 11/10! Welcome back to your Weekly Rock Rating 🎶🪨 🪨 You can be hard as diamond, have an exterior of basalt for good measure. Eventually, erosion comes for us all. Clearly this hunk knows what I’m talking about. Check out those pock marks - battle scars - wounds that have not been able to heal over the course of thousands of years. Childeren have come by and placed pogs in those crevices. Look it’s a perfect fit!” They acclaimed. But over the years, the school closed down and pogs became a long lost fad. And yet, this rock remains. Sure, it may not be smooth. Its edges are warped and wobbly, like a crude molten lava that was quenched instaneously. Moss has started to find a home in its deep cool grooves where it’s safe from the heat. In all honesty, one would not be incorrect in saying that it takes the shape of a cookie that had been rolled without purpose before being dropped on a baking sheet, the byproduct of haste, of carelessness not of its own doing. Perhaps this rock is not so different. Whose to say that it did not once belong to a mountain? It may have broken off an escarpment, sundered from its family by nomadic glaciers, only to end up here where it is being judged for its overlaps and folds. Go on, call it what you will. Call those indents bullet holes and step on it for good measure. Do you feel good about yourself? Do you? They say that pressure makes diamonds, but they never tell you how much is broken in the process. And even if the shards shine, they’re still shards that will never go back together again. This rock holds a special place in my heart and I don’t want to hear any negative energy in the comment section. 🪨 Rock pic submitted by @hellokittynaz 📸 #OogaChaka #Puckers #Parlous #TorontoIndieTheatre #FringeTO taken in Toronto, Ontario by @puckers.co
