I don’t even know where to begin… this post 1 of many 💭

Break Free: The VAWG Conference was more than just an event, it felt like the beginning of something so much bigger, it’s a new movement and a new era. A moment in time where voices came together and refused to be silenced.

I am still in complete awe of the incredible speakers who stood on that stage. The honesty, the courage, the knowledge, it was powerful beyond words.

To the survivors who bravely shared their stories… I see you and I am so incredibly proud of you. What you did in that room takes a level of strength that cannot be measured.

To have over 100 people in that space, all committed to tackling violence against women and girls completely surpassed anything I imagined. The energy, the connection, the solidarity was something special.

The feedback has been unreal. Truly. I’ve been overwhelmed with messages, reflections, and people wanting to be part of this work and that tells me one thing: this matters, and this is needed.

For me, this is personal. This is about lived experience, about truth, about creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported.

This is just the beginning.

We are building something powerful and we are not stopping here. Beyond grateful for the team of inspirational women who helped build this @empowera.by.raj @msjaye2 @alicekclifton_

Wow wow wow it’s been the hardest secret to keep but I can finally announce my amazing and talented son @k.__ai_ aka @kkd_choreography has landed himself a place on the Wicked international tour

Yesterday was an absolute dream to compete in my first ever pageant final, definitely a new experience for me and massively out of my comfort zone.

Had the best time through the whole process I may not have won but still amazing to get so far. My dress was made me feel like a right princess. So proud of all those who took part everyone looked and done amazing!

Seeing how proud my family were in the audience and coming home to the lovely messages from the women I support made it all so worthwhile as they’re the ones who inspire me and who I hope I inspire too.

Have to say I think I’ve been sucked in to this world and don’t think that will be my last pageant 🙈❤️ taken in Easthampstead Park Hotel by @queenprabz

I honestly struggled to find the words to describe what it all meant to be asked to speak at the Crowned With Courage event.

The very first Crowned With Courage Finals was an unforgettable experience.

Something that once lived as an idea for two amazing ladies had become a room filled with support, strength, love, laughter, determination and some of the most incredible women I have ever had the privilege of meeting during my time as the High Sheriff.

To the finalists, be proud of what you’ve achieved.
Seeing these women and the journey they had endured was both moving and inspiring.

The confidence built, the friendships they formed with each other and the courage they showed was the real victory.
Every one of them had already achieved something amazing.

Thank you to @_thejessicaproject_ Project for asking me to attend to be welcomed into a part of your journey.

To @rose_georgie_5 @queenprabz and Rubie, well done for the work that went into bringing your vision to life,because you have created something special together.

And to Hayley, congratulations and all the best for where your advocacy journey takes you.

We are incredibly grateful to @skynews for inviting our Founder, Priya Dawkins, to play such a significant part in this important production.

A deeply concerning trend involving products that glamourise strangulation as a sexual fetish is being promoted across social media platforms.

We cannot normalise, glamourise or minimise the dangers of strangulation. It can cause devastating injuries, including brain injury, and can be fatal, even without visible marks.

Priya rarely shares her personal experiences publicly, but after seeing this product, she knew she had to speak out, drawing on both her lived experience and professional expertise.

Some conversations are uncomfortable, but that is exactly why we must have them.

We must challenge the normalisation of violence against women, particularly when dangerous behaviours are repackaged as sexual trends or entertainment.

These products reflect a deeply concerning culture of misogyny, and we must call it out.

My amazing baby girl has done it again!

Year 7 she won the high achievement award
Year 8 she was elected student councillor and won a student of the year award
Year 9 has just started and today I got this I’m soooo proud 🥹

I can’t get the image out my head or Jess being on stage delivering a TED talk about VAWG with a black blazer and DV pinbadge on lmao 🤣🤣🤣

Diving into my bag of presents with my gorgeous girls was an amazing moment last night. They were so excited to see my sash and crown, and I told them to never stop standing up to bullies, even when it feels hard, because doing the right thing can sometimes come at a personal cost, but there are always people out there who will champion you, you just need to find your people 💖 I am beyond grateful #crownedwithcourage #mscourage2026 #vawg #neverfeelalone by @queenprabz

👑 CROWNED WITH COURAGE 👑

I’m still processing just how grateful, emotional and humbled I feel today.

I already know this is post 1 of many because there is simply too much love, pride and gratitude to fit into one.

Yesterday we made history with the very first Crowned With Courage Finals. What started as a wild idea and a lot of passion became something truly extraordinary, and I genuinely believe this is just the beginning of a movement.

To every one of our beautiful finalists… YOU BLEW ME AWAY. ❤️

Watching your growth, friendships, confidence and courage has been such a privilege. I honestly couldn’t have called it as single one of you had already won in my eyes.

Thank you for trusting me and The Jessica Projects survivor-led trauma recovery programmes, peer support, education and empowerment theories and for allowing me to walk alongside you for this part of your healing journey.

To Georgie and Rubie nobody will ever truly know the blood, sweat, tears, late nights and determination that went into making this happen. I couldn’t have wished for a better team. We did it!

To my hubby and brother-in-law, thank you for keeping everyone safe and taking your security roles VERY seriously 😂

To my beautiful daughter… GIRL, YOU SANG! And to my ridiculously talented son, you hosted the evening like the absolute professional you are. The number of compliments I received about you both was overwhelming. Being your mum will always be my greatest privilege.

And to our beautiful Ms Courage 2026, Hayley… congratulations! 👑 We are so proud of you and cannot wait to support you in this next chapter of your advocacy journey.

Crowned With Courage was never just about a crown.

It was about helping survivors rediscover themselves, build friendships, reclaim confidence and be celebrated for who they are today not defined by what happened to them.

Yesterday, we watched that vision come to life.

I’m still on such a high. So much more to share, so many more people to thank and so many beautiful moments to celebrate.

But for now, my heart is overflowing.

This my loves, is just the start.
