“Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Mr. Turner, YOU are love ♥️ From lab partners to Husband and Wife! My favorite love story ✨ I’m grateful to experience this type of love! Truly blessed. Royalty. A Fairytale.

🌹Happy Hoodoo Heritage Month to all those keeping our ancestors alive through action, memory, & knowledge 🕯️

This month, we honor a tradition born from our ancestors’ determination to survive, heal, protect, and thrive.

From the healing power of herbs, roots, and the wisdom of our elders to the sacred traditions of birth work, our ancestral knowledge has always been intertwined into how we care for ourselves, our families, and our communities.

Hoodoo reminds us that our connection to the land, our ancestors, and one another is SACRED.

May we continue to reclaim, preserve, and honor the traditions passed down through generations.

May we approach our ancestral practices with respect, curiosity, and gratitude, remembering that our roots hold stories worth telling and wisdom worth carrying forward 🌹 by @queenrosetea__

🌹7 months loc’d & enjoying the journey 😆

First braidout was a success ✅

This set of locs is nothing like my first! These girls require a different type of love & energy 😅 I’ve been palm rolling them but I’m thinking about switching to interlocking 🤔 What y’all think? 🌹

🌹Top 3 non-negotiable when booking a hotel: FITNESS CENTER!

Me and my Husband have been very intentional about moving our bodies, even when we’re on vacation. We love a good work out facility at the hotel. If a hotel doesn’t have one, 9.8 times out of 10 we’re not booking with them 🤣

But uh… am I the only one whose partner turns into a drill sergeant when you try to workout with them!? 😭👎🏾 So I personally enjoy our in tandem workouts 🙄😅

I did a kettle bell workout while Tez completed a @juiceandtoya workout 💪🏾 The beach wasn’t far from our hotel so we walked there right after 😌

Tampa was a great trip! I gotta show y’all more footage from it 🌹

🌹 July’s (physical) reads 📚

Although I’ve fallen into the ebook & audiobook traps (😅), I try to read a few physical books each month also!

Unfortunately, July was veryyyyyyy busy so I didn’t get to read all 4 of these. Which means … I’ll be finishing them in August 🤗 Be back soon with a review 😉🌹

This is set #2 & I’m loving the journey so far!!! 🥰 Combed out the first set to release some energy and fall back in love with my hair. We back & we better!

This set is MUCH smaller than my first so we’ll see how this goes! For now, I’m palm rolling them but eventually I’ll try out interlocking.

It’s finally hot outside (consistently) so it’s time to get creative with the style! 🤩 by @queenrosetea__
