PSYCHO NATURAL — a collaborative piece between @mental.athletic and @acg , tracing a journey at the threshold of the real and the digital, drawing from a wide range of utopian visual and literary references. For this video and print exhibition, studio @avoir.ig took over its own offices and designed the scenography in collaboration with @radicalbrain.eu : a living, digital environment where mushrooms grow throughout the exhibition on blocks of mycelium. @radicalbrain.eu handled the production of the exhibition and the opening night. Working with a living material was an absolute first for us. An unprecedented approach, which opens a long-term development path: we are gradually building a circle of experts and artists around these materials, to make the living a fully-fledged medium of production. Another chapter of my collaboration with @avoir.ig that I haven't had the chance to share yet. FKA TWIGS x ON RUNNING at the Corner Shop of Selfridges — a temporary retail laboratory in the heart of London. For this project, studio @avoir.ig chose to explore the Soft Modern concept: a chubby composite steel-and-foam frame outlining the periphery of the store in segmented sections, scaled down into aluminum fixtures and perforated panels that provide both functional and structural support. At the center, two oversized seating prototypes based on ON RUNNING's CloudTec geometry, alongside a composition of multifunctional stacked blocks — serving as both screens and presentation displays. The essence of Radical Brain Disciplines' approach: turning bold drawings into buildable objects, where engineering precision meets soft volumes. PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT. For the opening of @hoka_eu new offices in Annecy, @radicalbrain.eu and @sgms.studio designed an 80 m’ Archive Room. The HOKA Archive Room showcases the brand’s history and innovations, highlighting the materials, shapes, and stories that have established HOKA as a leader in the world of running. This project embodies HOKA’s pioneering spirit, where technical design and storytelling intertwine to celebrate a revolution: the creation of a shoe designed to make runners « fly. » The archival pieces on display highlight HOKA’s break from the minimalist running industry of its time, transforming its bold identity-oversized shapes and groundbreaking cushioning—into today’s standard for running shoe innovation. PATH & LIGHT Artistic direction by @titouangth for the launch of @hoka_eu ’s ROCKET X TRAIL at @ravanel.and.co , coinciding with the start of the UTMB’s flagship race in Chamonix. by @radicalbrain.eu
@radicalbraindisciplines & @sgms_studio join forces for @hoka_eu at UTMB® At the UTMB® in Chamonix, Radical Brain Disciplines and studio SGMS partnered with HOKA—a key event sponsor—to create & produce installations inspired by trail running and mountain culture: • Partner store windows, designed to highlight the launch of the MAFATE 5, blending technical aesthetics and visual storytelling to showcase the shoe. • The HOKA media space, a dynamic hub for dialogue and storytelling, featuring talks, documentary screenings, and interactions with the elite team. The space combined raw materials—corrugated metal, unfinished wood—with ripstop textile details, balancing industrial ruggedness and technical sophistication. • Technical objects, developed through object design research, reinforcing HOKA’s identity within its natural environment. HOKA - PARIS FASHION WEEK JUNE 2025 For Paris Fashion Week in June 2025, @hoka_eu transformed a historic house in Le Marais into a showroom where circular design and the brand’s lifestyle identity converge. This project embodies a reflection on element reuse, while exploring the evolving aesthetic codes of the brand. After two seasons of collaboration, @hoka and @radicalbraindisciplines have refined the material palette to reinforce their philosophy: frosted acrylic, showcased in the display cases, highlights the aesthetic exploration of key products from the upcoming collection, while wood staining brings structural warmth to balance the technical aspects. Finally, after a series of workshop experiments, we developed a burned pattern on stainless steel, evoking the intensity variations of a body in motion, specially designed for the S26 season. Designed as a modular and interchangeable system, some elements were repurposed the day after Fashion Week for a pop-up dedicated to the Stealth Pack collection at Citadium Caumartin. Beyond its practical function, the project reveals a dual narrative: a functional furniture system, but also a staged experience where every detail—from finishes to layouts and material quality—captures the very essence of @hoka in a circular and sustainable approach. AVOIR + INDUSTRIAL TRADE SHOW It is within an unconventional environment that @radicalbraindisciplines continues its collaboration with @avoir.ig . This time, the setting is an industrial trade show at the heart of Germany’s economic capital: Frankfurt. A territory cherished by the design studio, both for its inspirational value and its industrial heritage and craftmanship. The project follows the same vision as previous collaborations, emphasizing innovation, functionality, and bold design. ROUND PROBLEMS This project was designed by Avoir Studio and produced in collaboration with Radical Brain Disciplines. The project is centered around a single circular ring table, a multifunctional structure that serves as a restaurant bar, meeting table, and kitchen counter. This design encourages interaction and adaptability within the trade show space. Central Display: At the core of the ring, an exploded view of components highlights the complexity and precision of industrial design. Adjacent Wall: A dedicated showcase for hardware tooling, reinforcing the project’s industrial identity. The design philosophy is rooted in radical simplicity, using minimal yet impactful elements to create a distinctive and immersive experience. PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT. For the PFW June 2024, @hoka_eu is taking over 18-20 rue des Archives to set up its showroom. To celebrate creativity and boldness, the brand and @trobrillants invites its cultural connectors to a dinner in a raw environment and a set design inspired by the fauna of the Alpine peaks. The Brigade from VAISSEAU is relocating their restaurant, the time of an evening, to transform the space for a unique gastronomic experience, imagined and orchestrated by @adriencachot .The chef, known for pushing culinary boundaries, will create dishes with unexpected and breathtaking combinations. This experience left its mark on these neo-worldlings, who were used to the exercise and could take the sincere and generous approach of the chef and his crew on a culinary flight of fancy.
