Congratulations to @birthfund for being named the 2026 nonprofit partner for the @billboard Women in Music awards.

More and more people are being tested on what they actually stand for and Billboard chose to put the maternal health crisis on the same stage as its biggest honors partnering with @birthFUND, founded by @elainewelteroth to close the gap between who deserves safe, dignified care and who actually receives it. Turn your notifications on @birthfund and spend some time over there learning!

I recently spoke at a summit for a global organization that provides thought-leadership, intelligence, and networking for ultra-high-net-worth multigenerational families. PS- I just found out about the term UHNW.

TBH it was fascinating to see some of THE world’s leading business-owning, financial and philanthropic families, and their family offices.

The discussion was moderated by former US Senator of CA, Laphonza Butler who invited me to the stage and is an absolute great human! I was also joined by geopolitical strategist, Ramon Escobar who I have the pleasure of working with.

I had the opportunity to unpack my thoughts around legacy media no longer being the default arbiter of credibility but stressed the importance of saving them (infrastructure) and gave examples of creators and communities people trust and turn to for news.

(And of course) people perked up when the conversation began outlining the distance collapse between content and commerce because of AI and what new power structures will look like.

There was so much more but I’ve now forgotten it.
PS my mother FaceTimed me to tell me she is tired of me wearing blue. I’ve been stressing her out with my color combos since 4th grade😂 by @rakiareynolds

At the intersection of communications, cultural moments, (with a little bit of chaos) and getting sh✨done is where I do my best work.

As an executive, it’s always a privilege to be a part of the moving pieces that celebrate the people who deserve to be seen and heard. I’m incredibly proud of the team and the work we do 👏🏾.

I had a praying grandmother (and a great grandmother).

Once when I was in college, I went to the bank to take out the last $20 I had to my name and when I went to the teller, she asked which account I wanted to draw from. I laughed so hard and said the one that’s not in the negative? The teller responded saying it looked like there was an account that had been sitting (and growing interest) for over 15 years in my name. Apparently Mama Sis (what everyone called her) had set aside a few coins for my tuition (which ended up covering part of my grad school before she transitioned).

That second photo is Mama. She always made me the best food (with fresh ingredients from her garden), told me that pretty girls needed to be protected, and played NO games.
