Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we shall return. May Allah grant you the highest levels of Heaven. This has probably been the hardest day of my life, knowing tomorrow I won’t be able to call you.

If you knew me, you’d know how much my seedo meant to me. Losing you feels like losing a part of myself. My seedo, my birthday twin, my confidant, you were my person. The one who always pushed me, poured into me, and always wanted the best for me no matter what.

Being so far away from you was never easy. There were times I had to stop myself from calling you as much as I wanted to because I knew how attached I was, and I was scared of how much it would hurt when this day came. I think a part of me always knew it would feel like this, but nothing could have prepared me for it.

I don’t know what I’m going to do without you. But I do know everything I am is because of you. I hope I can make you proud and keep making you proud.

My degree is dedicated to you.
