The perfect ending to an unforgettable week 🤎

Our Closing Soirée, held at the beautiful @prwmiami, was a moment to celebrate everything this retreat represented: connection, excellence, growth and a room full of people committed to moving dentistry forward.

We are incredibly proud to have had Henry Schein as a Premier Sponsor of the Amira Aesthetics Dental Retreat. To have the support of one of the most recognized names in dentistry is something I will never take lightly. Their support was instrumental in helping us bring this vision to life, but even more meaningful was what that support represented: a genuine belief in what we are building, in creating greater opportunity and representation within dentistry, and in investing in the people and ideas shaping the future of our profession.

I can't believe it's been 20 years since I walked across that stage as a Meharry Graduate. If you know me then you know I wanted to be a dentist since I was 10 years old. Thank You Meharry for allowing this lil country boy from the dirt roads of South Carolina to reach my dreams. Life has taken us into so many different directions, but I am so proud of my classmates!

✨ Reflecting on an unforgettable weekend at DarkCon 2025 ✨

As a student ambassador, I had the privilege to serve alongside amazing dental professionals from across the African diaspora and the United States. It was truly inspiring to work with such passionate doctors, give back to the community through surgical assistance, and attend uplifting worship sessions that reminded me of the deeper purpose behind our work.

A huge thank you to the curators of DarkCon, the dedicated dental professionals for welcoming me and allowing shadowing opportunities, and to all the speakers and presenters for sharing priceless insights that will stay with me as I continue my journey in dentistry.

This experience has energized my passion and strengthened my commitment to making a difference in oral health care. Grateful for the connections, knowledge, and community built this weekend!

DARK CON GAVE ME BUTTERFLIES🥹🦋✨

This week was nothing short of fulfilling. Just a reminder that God’s hand has always been on my life. After graduating, I put my head down, put the blinders up and focused on my craft. This grind is what gave me the honor to speak amongst so many prestigous and rising doctors from all walks of life. While I wear this badge with honor, I acknowledge that what my grind didnt give me, Dark Con did. A network, a community of doctors that lead with love and wisdom.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Often times in my journey, I felt like it would always be me agaist the world. But I have fully been renewed in my mind. To meet so many seasoned and successful docs that were so open and eager to pass the baton opened my heart in new ways. Seeing their example has given me the mind to do the same + more. Each one, teach one!

God is sooooooo good all the time! Because this was only by his hand and grace.

History was made this weekend in Dallas!!! I can honestly say DarkCon exceeded everyone’s wildest expectations. Personally, I was thrilled to meet so many doctors who looked like me and were just as driven and determined to elevate the dental community.
Our dedication to giving back and reaching back will definitely ensure that we uplift the future generations to uphold the legacy of excellence we have built. Special shout out to my brother from another mother @dr.trevthomas for a fantastic keynote speech. Let’s all continue to raise the bar and keep this movement growing!
