La Bufadora is the second largest known natural sea geyser in the world. I’ve been hiking out to see it every morning and it always has a different character in both sound and spray. It’s name translates as a kind of onomatopoeic slang for ‘blowhole’ and it does indeed sound like the deep exhale from the spiracle of a surfacing whale.
