I wrote this from a place most don’t talk about. That space between healing and holding on. The tension of being fully present for someone you love while you both fight through past pain and trauma.This was audio healing.

Being a husband in today’s world means covering your family even when you’re carrying weight nobody sees for real. Love, like for real love isn’t just about feelings, it’s earned through the trials, the sacrifice, the silent battles won and lost that the world don’t see.

This song is for anyone who’s struggled to believe they’re worthy of love while healing themselves while trying to receive love.

I produced this beat, wrote every word, and flipped Valerie Simpson’s “Silly Wasn’t I” not just to pay homage, but to give this message a soulful feel. Finding the cadence and flow on this one felt natural, necessary, and honestly fun for real. The process reminded me why I love creating from real experiences.

It’s vulnerable. It’s layered. It’s universal. I’m speaking to anyone listening.

This disconnection wasn’t just something I wanted—it was what God intended for me at this moment in my life. It’s been a time of growth, clarity, and alignment. With two daughters to raise and a family to lead, I’ve been building the foundation of my home, my life, and my purpose. Sometimes, stepping back and removing the old versions of yourself is the only way to evolve.

DISCONNECTION isn’t just a song, it’s a reflection of everything I’ve been through. I poured my heart into this track, pulling from the rawest parts of my journey. I talk about my disconnection from the sport I fell in love with—football—and the scars it left behind. The politics of the game, the sacrifices, the pain most people never see… I lived it all. But this song isn’t just for me. It’s for anyone who feels the weight of life, who’s been scarred by their own struggles, and needs strength to move forward.

Music has always been my outlet to heal and connect, and through this song, I hope you can pull strength from my story. DISCONNECTION is about stepping away from what no longer serves you—societal pressures, toxic habits, distractions—and stepping into who you’re meant to be.

When I was back in Chicago at the Bruce Wayne. No engineer, no big room, just me and the @uaudio Apollo Twin.

This is “ALL MY FEELINGS” raw vocals coming to life. Every vocal you hear in this clip ran straight through that Universal Audio interface sitting on the desk. That little box has carried this whole album. Self produced, self recorded, self owned.

July 28 I’m performing this record live for the first time at Kiln in Provo. Full EVOLVE listening experience. Six chapters. One night.

Alan Watts said life was never supposed to be a race to the finish. It’s music. You’re supposed to dance while it plays.

So I direct where the music actually lives. In this house. Golden light through the window, little feet on the floor, my girls as the whole cast and my wife as the whole reason.

Most of my sets have call sheets. This one just has presence. No second takes on these years, so I keep the camera close and the moments closer.

Being a father is the production. Everything else I make is just behind the scenes footage.
