With everyone doing their ten before the end, I thought I’d toss my hopefuls out there!

I’m hoping to get to these books over the next few books:

1. Peck and Peck by Bonnie Garmus
2. The Shipikisha Club by Mubanga Kalimamukwento
3. Good Things Come and Go by Josie Shapiro
4. Hollywood, Ending by John Green
5. Exit Party by Emily St. John Mandel
6. Country People by Daniel Mason
7. The City Changes Its Face by Eimar McBride
8. In One Brief Moment All Eternity by Elif Shafak
9. Beginning Middle End by Valeria Luiselli
10. The Circle by Dave Eggars

I’m hoping to get to more than just these ten but these are on the priority list!

Any you’ve read or looking forward to? 📚🥹

Excuse the ‘dodge’ lighting in this video (see what I did there? 😉😂) but I had to talk about this book IMMEDIATELY.

Check out Dodge City by Patrick DeWitt.

My thoughts on @thebookerprizes shortlist for 2026!

What a fabulous list of books. I do not envy the judges who need to make the final choice.

Stay tuned for my winner prediction 📚🔥 x

The Booker Prize shortlist is announced tomorrow, so naturally I have spent an entirely reasonable amount of time trying to work out what the judges are going to do.

My personal shortlist would be:

📚 May We Feed the King
📚 The Renovation
📚 Switzy
📚 All Them Dogs
📚 Black Bag
📚 The Disappearers

But my prediction for the judges’ shortlist is slightly different:

🔮 May We Feed the King
🔮 The Renovation
🔮 The Disappearers
🔮 The Shadow of the Object
🔮 The Vivisectors
🔮 John of John

Tomorrow we’ll find out how right or wrong we have all been!

What do you think will make the six? 👀

With @thebookerprizes shortlist announcement just shy of a week away, I’ve decided to compile my rankings of all of the longlist books.

I finished last week with The Disappearers and must say that this year has been one of my favourite long lists ever.

Who are you hoping to see on the shortlist?
