A lovely Halloween evening yesterday @theseahorseguildford which is located in the heart of the picturesque town of Shalford. They had a live band performing who were excellent and I will definitely be wanting to see them again 🙌🏻 “Bring them back”! 🤪 Yet another wonderful refurbishment and this time instead of being mostly open plan, they have areas which are more private with about 6 tables in each so you can choose to be out in the open or not, depending on what kind of day/evening you are wanting. What I chose… Starters from the main menu… PAN-FRIED WILD SCALLOPS, Artichoke purée, smoked pancetta, samphire. ROASTED BEETROOT, Whipped Goat’s cheese, butternut relish. All the food was really good, but I was surprised just how good this roasted beetroot salad was 😋 Main from the main menu… 7OZ FILLET STEAK, served with red wine caramelised onion, triple-cooked chips, parsley butter and peppercorn sauce. Main from the specials menu… ROTISSERIE CHICKEN PAPPARDELLE, sautéed mushrooms, porcini & madeira sauce, shaved parmesan. This chicken pasta dish was out of this world so delicious so much flavour 🤤 I another thing I love about this Mitchells and Butlers country pubs is that they have a great selection on the main menu but then each individual pub has a different specials menu.
