little photo diary from last week staying at the lovely @untitledfreemanalley hotel for @sangennaronyc + @sangennarostage with @keepgoodcompanyrecords 🌇🌃📸🎨🖌️🎞️ caught the most perfect september sunset 🌞 watched @thegingerwinn and @paulcostabile rehearse in the garden. typed poems on the roof of the hotel !!!! and was 10 minutes from everywhere I could ever want to go in the city.

don’t miss this hidden gem located in the iconic freeman’s alley in NYC 🌇🌃🎨🖼️🖌️

@untitledfreemanalley is a boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the lower east side that feels like a living canvas: an ever-changing alley guests are encouraged to spray paint in, a secret garden, a rooftop bar, a photobooth, complimentary coffee and pastries every morning, a tattoo shop, and a ten minute walk from some of the best spots in the city.

I stayed here last week while attending the centenntial @sangennarostage festival with @keepgoodcompanyrecords and couldn’t have loved it more. feeling lucky to have found a hotel that not only feels like home but inspires so much creativity everywhere you look. found yours and my new favorite hotel, you’re welcome!!!!!

my mom 4 years ago: “I wish there was a way for people to learn about all of the cool mental health organizations and people we meet at our store @rewindkingston, connect people with resources for free and give people a beautiful day of taking care of their mental health”

now: the fourth year of our free mental health music and arts festival, 3 stages, our biggest lineup yet including our first keynote by writer and journalist @noor + @adamkhafif and a reading by @cosmogyny who I have admired for years, over 40 organizations and artists tabling dozens of workshops, dozens of collaborations and live performances, booking some of our favorite bands and speakers (hey @shallowalcove @alolender) (and even getting my dream job after booking @thegingerwinn @keepgoodcompanyrecords and using mine and @sydneyfckingflood writing to write a song for the festival) (stream everytime it rains by ginger Winn!) our own @westkillbrewing beer, a pre-festival short film screening at @upstate_films, creating a nonprofit @xoxolovecass in memory of my sister to fund it, and building a music and craft garden in the @rewindkingston backyard @unwindatrewind to have a little bit of heart of midtown all the time…..

6 years ago when we lost my sweet little sister, coolest girl ever and my best friend Cassidy, the first thing I remember saying to myself was “okay so I guess everything I do for the rest of my life will be for her” and helping others avoid this nightmare of a fate. I remember thinking so clearly: now I live two lives, one for me and one for you.

safe to say mission accomplished 🌟

see you september 19 in the heart of midtown 🩷
