On May 1st of this year I finally married my sweet love, Mekenna!

After almost 8 years together I finally recognized it was time to get my crap together and marry this beautiful woman already. After all she has done for me, and us, I would be foolish to not!

Our day was filled with so much suspense, a lot of work to get to this singular moment, the build up felt a lot at times, but overall in the end it was quite calm and rewarding. 
We spent the morning together, walking the park, drinking coffee (those simple things for me), and sharing words of love with one another before the big afternoon.  We invited our direct family, and were surrounded by their warmth and joy. Having Mekenna’s family next to mine was such a special moment, something I hope to do over and over again! Having our parents there to witness the big moment was something we are very lucky and cherished to have.  
We ate and drank (as most of you know being my favorite activity)! Piccino knocked it out of the park with the food, service and more! Our families shared stories, core memories, reminding us both of who we are, where we come from and how far we have come! We all laughed together, cried together, and most importantly broke bread over the dinner table together! 
I sat at the end of our wedding day with a quick reflection, nothing fell short from recognizing that this life is all a beautiful journey. I’m pumped to spend many crazy days ahead with Mekenna, and I’m grateful she is choosing to spend her crazy days with me. I can only imagine what life has in store for us next, but either way, im lucky I get to share it all with her!

There was something so magical about celebrating our love in the place where it all began. May 1st was intimate, intentional, and so deeply ours. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our story.

Photographing love is something I’ll never take lightly, no matter who’s in front of my camera. But every once in a while, it’s your people, and it hits in a different way. 🥹

I met Austin almost 10 years ago, and not long after, Mekenna came into the picture. I still remember when she came to visit him in Cincinnati for the first time and now, getting to stand in front of them yesterday as they said their vows; it was one of those full-circle moments that makes you pause for a second. ✨

I am beyond grateful that I’ve had the honor to capture their story over the years and even more grateful I got to be a part of their intentional, intimate day.

Let’s all help wish the big legend Tony Ferrari a very happy birthday today!

Core memories to prove how amazing life is! From all that we’ve been through ‘til now, life is beautiful! He’s become an amazing father, partner, brother to the family, early riser, go getter, and continues to always start each idea with a little dream! Still my biggest mentor through life!

Well, I haven’t personally shared this yet, but I’m incredibly proud of myself, and our amazing team for seeing one of our biggest projects to date through.

Ten years ago, we lost a super good friend, Franklin James Clary. I met Frank through food and wine while living in SF, and we quickly became buddies enjoying coffee, wine, cooking & bouncing around the city. He always talked about wanting to hang at the cafe with us and make some kind of coconut coffee. No recipe, just an idea we kept talking about. Then on July 4th, 2015, we were hanging with all our friends at Lulu’s parents home, swimming, drinking, eating, the usual. Frank brought it up, and I said yea man, let’s connect this week and make the drink happen. Sadly, we lost Frank that day in a tragic car accident, and life hasn’t been the same since!

I held onto our friendship hard. He was one of the realest, most casually kind humans I’ve ever known. I told my brother we’d see the drink through, which was our way of keeping him alive.

When we opened Mom ’n ’em in 2019, Franklin’s Coconut Cold Brew finally made its appearance on our menu. It became our #1 drink, a fan favorite, and still is today! Just before our big opening, it was our dream to can this cold brew, so we could share the deliciousness with the world and help keep Franks spirit alive.

In July of 2025, I watched it get canned for the very first time. Quite an emotional experience I must say. After all the time, money, stress, and emotional ups and downs… we pushed through. And it was worth it. I’ve never backed down from something I said I’d do, neither has my brother, and we are proud to hold the cans in our hand, and remember the amazing guy Frank was.

I’m proud to finally have Franklin’s Coconut Cold Brew for everyone to enjoy, and for people to carry a little piece of Franklin wherever life takes them.

I just wish he was here to sit with us at a table and enjoy it. You’d love it Frank!  We love you, buddy. May your bright spirit and wide smile live on forever ❤️ by @restaurantman

There’s something different about photographing people you love.

When the story isn’t just unfolding in front of you, you’ve actually lived pieces of it with them.

Austin and I met almost 8 years ago, back when he and Tony reopened their uncle’s barber shop in Cincinnati and added a tiny coffee counter inside. I was writing for an online magazine at the time, and had no idea our paths would keep crossing… or that one day I’d be photographing him and his fiancé. 🥹

Now he and Mekenna are two of my closest friends, and getting to capture this season for them feels incredibly special. A chilly Cincinnati afternoon, leaves still hanging on, and a whole lot of love that’s carried them from San Francisco to Ohio and now to their May wedding next year.

Some stories feel extra close to the heart. This one definitely does. 🤍

I’ve been on a lot of journeys in life, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this one right here with Mekenna!

After I first met her in the beautiful city of San Francisco, I never thought she would be crazy enough to follow me on my adventure back to Cincy, where I longed for years to open a cafe with my brother. She said why not? Why not try something new (even if it’s not in CA).
She has been by my side ever since, has been one of my biggest supporters in all the crazy ideas I get myself into. She cooks a mean pissaladière, loves Syrah just as much as I, loves my family just as much as I love hers, remembers the holidays, birthdays and all the special thank you cards that I can’t seem to remember, she kicks ass at keeping me healthy, reminds me to take breaks when I push myself over the edge with work, she balances out my salty with her sweet, and she bring the west coast where I bring the midwest
I find it hard to imagine a life without being by her wonderful side, and I think that’s what life is all about!

What is life to live if we don’t push ourselves to the limits.

After 7 years, I finally asked her to marry me, and she said yasssss! I love you sugar plum!
