Summer wraps this week and looking back, there is no summer without the people who make it warm and connective and fun!

These people really made my summer such a joyful one.

And every person here shapes how this city works culturally, artistically, politically, and economically. They’re entrepreneurs and elected officials. Artists and curators. Athletes, philanthropists, and therapists. Professors, lawyers, and chefs. H. S. teachers, designers, analysts, financiers, organizers and journalists! And I’m just amazed by all of them.

We dine together, laugh, teach and learn from each other. We hold each other’s stories, wrestle with hard questions, and show up for the wins and the losses alike.

I believe that’s called friendship.

So here’s to the friends who make a city feel like home ❤️

Photographing love is something I’ll never take lightly, no matter who’s in front of my camera. But every once in a while, it’s your people, and it hits in a different way. 🥹

I met Austin almost 10 years ago, and not long after, Mekenna came into the picture. I still remember when she came to visit him in Cincinnati for the first time and now, getting to stand in front of them yesterday as they said their vows; it was one of those full-circle moments that makes you pause for a second. ✨

I am beyond grateful that I’ve had the honor to capture their story over the years and even more grateful I got to be a part of their intentional, intimate day.

There was laughter, tears, good food and wine shared all around… and I left with my cup feeling so unbelievably full. 🫶🏻🤍
