This World is Ours!
I was challenged in my inner circle to share my take of the Halftime show from a black radical thought perspective. I know I’m a little late but enjoy! This was fun. More creative writing from my mind is coming your way soon! Stay tuned👀Shoutout to my org for sharing this earlier ❤️🖤💚 #culturalworkers by @rie_culture

Today marks 1 year of Palestinian resistance and an ongoing genocide. This fight goes back 125 years, but it wasn’t until this year that I was made aware and learned how it connects to the struggle for liberation across the globe. This inspired my journey from being just a creative to a cultural worker.

Here is a little something I wrote and performed this past summer: “The Cultural Worker’s Struggle: Confronting Injustice and Decolonizing the Arts”

Shoutout to at a @bapatlanta @atlradicalart @againstapartheid.art for this amazing night. Thankful to @communitymovementbuilders and @alternateroots for helping to do the work as an organizer/artist❤️ stay tuned. Free Palestine! Free Congo! Free all political prisoners! And stop cop city! by @rie_culture

Had to hit up the Oscars before my show tonight. My Hollywood dream has never been so clear. Can’t believe I was this close the red carpet. A dream come true. Look at me and all these artists living out the dream. See yall later ❤️🤍🖤💚🇵🇸#freepalestine #endgenocide #freecongo #freehaiti #freesudan by @rie_culture

Such a great 35th Birthday weekend! Thanks for all the birthday wishes. So thankful to share these past few days with folks I loved. I wanted to do it big because I have so much work ahead of me! Swipe to see memories of the good times.

Reintroducing myself to the world as “Rie Culture”

Rie= My nickname since childhood
Culture= Stems from my newer identity as a “cultural worker” that I took on a couple years ago.
Cultural Worker= an artist/culture producing person who uses their art as a revolutionary weapon.

My previous stage name no longer aligns with me. My Hollywood “Status Quo” dreams are long dead. I dedicate my current/future works(acting, writing, film making etc) to the people as I continue to evolve as an radical black feminist, Pan African socialist, and organizer rooted in the black radical tradition.

Anyway stay tuned for more work to come. 😊

Sidenote: Fuck what anyone has to say about us childless, husbandless black women past the age of 30! Still fine as fuck, what about it? ❤️ by @rie_culture

Can’t believe this wonderful experience ended a whole week ago!

So honored to have been selected to participate in SPARK Reproductive Justice Organization’s F.Y.R.E Camp 2026: Stand-Up, Clap Back!

I was able to participate in a 4 day camp rooted in a radical perspective of reproductive justice. We had deep political education and discussions throughout the camp. I learned about the dangers of fake abortion clinics, the importance LGBTQIA liberation in connection to bodily autonomy, radical parenting, disruption of gender constructs, cultural work & propaganda, and where the decriminalization of sex work falls in working class solidarity. We also took time for yoga, care/rest, and sound baths in the process.

Through this experience me and the other campers built stand-up sets that focused on “punching up” in comedy rather than “punching down” on marginalized groups which comedy is historically known to do. It was a joy to meet and have conversations with so many beautiful souls and watch them kill their stand-up sets!

This experience was so important to me as a cultural worker and community organizer. Made me even clearer on how radically understanding gender, sexuality, and identity is so important in the larger movement towards Black Liberation!
I stepped away from stand up a few years ago because as I became clearer on my identity as a cultural worker and Pan-African Socialist, I got more unclear on where comedy in such a misogynistic space would fit in my life. This experience definitely showed me where I fit. Shoutout to my man and big sis for their support! Shoutout to my fellow campers for their courage! Shoutout to SPARK for such a well organized experience! 🔥🔥🔥

Video of my set coming soon… by @rie_culture

Last Saturday I helped organize an event at West End Park(Malcolm X Park) to honor 250 years of resistance to the American Project as opposed to celebrating the United States of America. Shout out to everyone who was apart of last weekend May community organizers find a way to bring power to the people against all we are up against in the settler colony.

Here is a little piece I wrote leading up to the event. My letter to the United States of America. Happy Belated Birthday to the cultural worker poet June Jordan.

If you live in Atlanta and want to contribute create art that encourages on the ground resistance movements contact me and follow @desoulcollective ❤️🖤💚 by @rie_culture

Femicide vs. Bidirectional Violence
Here is a clip from Episode 47 of “Dare 2 Struggle, Dare 2 Win” where we focused on “Black Femicide”
I did an entire dialectical breakdown on Black Femicide and the role of Patriarchy in black community.
Check out the link in my bio. This was an important conversation. Check us out on @blackliberationmedia on YouTube, Weds at 6pm by @rie_culture

Black femicide is the consequence of multiple systems and separating ourselves from men is not solution. Ending patriarchy is the only solution. We cannot leave the role oppression of class, race, and gender out of the equation either. It takes hard conversations with the men & women in our lives, creating culture that redefines manhood, and collective organizing against the white imperial capitalist patriarchy that is killing us. We work with men, men live in our neighborhoods, we give birth to men. By making “men” the issue we reinforce the patriarchal idea that it is natural instinct for men to act like animals instead of greater hegemonic indoctrinating force that all of us should be fighting against.

Clip from this week’s episode of “Dare 2 Struggle 2 Win” on @blackliberationmedia this week on YouTube. We had a much need conversation though never easy. Link in my bio. @geechiemotivator @yusefbunchyshakur by @rie_culture

Shoutout out to “Dare 2 Struggle Dare 2 Win” on @blackliberationmedia where we talk black radical politics. Every now and then we give a political perspective of pop culture events/spectacles like the Diddy documentary. This was a topic a few weeks back. Check out Episode 39
What are your thoughts on power? Political power? Psychological power? Systems of power?

We are taking a break this week and next but tune in next year every Wednesday at 6pm on Black Liberation Media on YouTube! by @rie_culture
