Our Sketch & Stroll workshop series at Kew Gardens came to a close last weekend with the final Autumn edition and lucky us, it didn’t rain once!

In total we hosted 46 people over three sessions, saw many familiar faces and made connections with some new people as well 💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us to slow down and spend some creative time in nature together and to paraphrase one of our guests: give the flowers and leaves the attention they deserve.

Special shout to our life drawing models who were excellent sports, as well as our facilitators @asmaeatsart @sarahejionye @salmathepainter who also happened to model at one point or another.

We’re going back to Kew! If you didn’t make it to the last one and you’d like to join us for a walk and some relaxed creative exercises read on and be sure to book your spot today! Ticket link in bio / DM us.

More about the event:
This guided experience will combine a relaxed walk through one of our favourite botanical spots in London with two creative exercises facilitated by RIOT SOUP members.

What you will get out of the workshop:
Light guidance on composition and observational technique, plus tips on gesture and using different materials for mark making. And as you’ll be spending the day with other Global Majority women and non-binary people you are very likely to share a laugh, swap ideas and have a good time connecting with likeminded souls 🥰

What’s included:
- All creative materials
- Free entry to the gardens

Good to know:
- Max group size is 12 (smaller than in the summer)
- No drawing experience is required
- You do not have to buy a ticket to enter Kew Gardens, entry is included in this workshop
- You can stay in the gardens and continue exploring once the workshop is over
- If heavy rain is forecast, we’ll either adjust or postpone the event. We’ll give as much notice as possible if that is the case.
- You can book either 3rd or 10th Oct.

Accessibility:
The Gardens are largely flat with tarmac paths

Don’t forget:
Bring a water bottle, umbrella and wear comfortable shoes.

Spaces are limited and tickets are already selling so book early to avoid disappointment. If you don’t manage you can always add yourself to the waitlist in case of cancellation.

What a chill and fun time we had at our annual picnic last Sunday! We hope everyone who made it enjoyed themselves as much as we did 🌞

What a lovely time it was hosting our Sketch & Stroll @kewgardens yesterday! It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces plus some new ones too. We hope everyone enjoyed the session as much as we did 🌺

A huge thank you and welcome to @kiera.grace who is officially part of the delivery gang now! We couldn’t be more excited to have her with us 🌺

Last night we had a cosy PV with a small crowd but big conversations and it was fun! Thank you @avaloncafebermondsey for having us and to everyone who came. If you’d like to see the work, it will be up until next Monday (6 July).

Spend an afternoon wandering and drawing through one of our favourite botanical spots in London. This guided experience will combine a relaxed walk through Kew Gardens with two creative exercises; the first will be focused on still life and the second on life drawing.

This event will be facilitated with one of our newest members; the lovely @kiera.grace - heyyy Kiera! 🌺

And that’s a wrap! A massive, heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful artists who showed their work with us at @theotherartfair this week. It was so lovely to spend time and get to know you all. You lot are absolute stars and we cannot wait to see where your individual art journeys take you 🖤🤎

Thank you as well to our lovely buyers who supported our artists with their purchases as friends old and new who stopped by our stand this weekend - @heyimsakina @ndidiok @salinajaneart @dhanashreegadiyar - your visits made it all that more fun for us and we appreciate you! ❤️

We are SO looking forward to teaming up with the super talented @ncharles.art for a special workshop at @theotherartfair this Sunday.
