Visited @h.artslane in New Cross this weekend - 17 Harts Lane, SE14 5UP - to see @matthew.collings_ exhibition Drawings Against Genocide. Excellent show on until this Weds 7/10: unframed drawings pinned and nailed directly to the walls, and titles written directly on the wall too. Interesting community-orientated space, owned by Lewisham Council, run by a small independent team on a shoestring. Formerly a stable, then a motorbike repair garage, and very run down - still like a stable - but with plans afoot to refurbish and improve. Matthew is there everyday to invigilate and answer your questions, and has had to put up with some awful ranting z's rampaging in the space complaining about his show (see his recent posts from these past few days), but it was all peaceful, loving and supportive on Sunday! Go see if you have time and are in the area. Touring show, looking for other venues in London. by @robertmoon_

Another wonderful long walk from Keswick: Skiddaw Little Man and Skiddaw. A strange monument of twisted historic wrought iron fencing on a mini-summit cairn under Little Man. Ever changing light and shifting clouds, and windy and cold on tops. Very wide paths, so different after the rocky ridge of Blencathra. A moving monument to three local Shepherds of the Hawell family: ‘Great Shepherd of thy heavenly flock, these men have left our hill, their feet were on the living rock, oh guide and bless them still’. Wainwright notes of it: ‘simple, sincere and moving words, that will appeal to all lovers of the fells’. And young heifers at the end of the walk, with the Skiddaws in the background. #skiddaw #skiddawlittleman by @robertmoon_

An atmospheric hike and scramble in cloud up Hall’s Fell Ridge of Blencathra in the Lake District. Then descending into sun again with views of Derwent Water and Keswick. A Wainwright wrote this about the route up: ‘positively the finest way to any mountain top in the district’ #blencathra #hallsfellridge #lakedistrict by @robertmoon_

I was hopeless at taking photos during Artwave @artwavefestival in Lewes, Sussex, but my phone worked for this @david_blackaller. I hadn't seen his work in the flesh before and didn't realise they were so small, fragile and handmade. Like a rustic, folk minimalism? Another beautiful show at Charleston in Lewes @charlestontrust: Gladys Hynes (1888–1958). The first major exhibition devoted to her work spanning painting, sculpture, illustration, design. She was a pacifist, feminist, suffragette and Irish Republican, as well as moving through avant-garde circles. These book illustrations are fab. #gladyshynes by @robertmoon_
