✨ Today, on Giving Tuesday, I’m officially introducing…

𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐰𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 — a heart-led nonprofit dedicated to freeing animals from suffering through rescue, healing, and belonging.

My long-term vision is to build a sustainable animal sanctuary in Davao, Philippines, where:
🐾 rescued animals can heal and live freely
🐾 local caretakers receive stable jobs, housing, and purpose
🐾 the land is honored through eco-conscious design
🐾 animals, humans, and the Mother Earth experience restoration and wholeness

To begin building this mission, I’m raising $𝟒𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 to fund our first year of foundational work — including operational systems, legal structure, community partnerships, startup costs, and a modest living stipend so I can devote myself to this mission full-time.

And because animals in the Philippines need help now, a portion of this goal will go toward supporting @pawssionproject . Their sanctuary in Bacolod was severely damaged by Typhoon Tino, and together, we can help support up to 𝟏𝟐𝟎 𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐬 within the next year with nourishment, medical care, and safety as they rebuild.

Together, we’re 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰 — providing urgent relief today while laying the foundation for the future Barkada Paws Project Animal Sanctuary. 🏠

This is just the beginning — and I’m so grateful to finally share it with you!!

SHE'S OFFICIAL. 🥹🎉
Barkada Paws Project is now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit!

This means:
🐾 Your donations are tax-deductible
🐾 We can apply for grants
🐾 More resources to help animals in need

But honestly? It means so much more than that.

It means this dream I've been building — the one that started with a stray dog in the Philippines and a heart that couldn't look away — is real. It's recognized. It's growing. 🌱

So special that I got to share this moment with my husband, his brother, and our girlies! 🐶💕

I couldn't have gotten here without every single one of you who believed in this mission, shared our posts, donated, and cheered us on.

This is just the beginning. Thank you for being part of this journey — we're doing this TOGETHER. 🤍✨

It’s almost been a year since I finally crossed the finish line at Napa Valley Marathon. 🏃‍♀️✨

Mile 22 in 2023. I thought that was my end.

It was just the beginning.

My self-love journey has many chapters — but this one means everything to me.

A special part of my story is in this video — the work, the healing, one of the communities that carried me across the finish line two years later.

This time, passing mile 22 wasn’t about the bus or the miles.
It was a celebration — of the chapter, of the journey, and of the depth I discovered inside myself.

You haven’t even met all the people who are going to love you yet. 🤍

@vallejorunclub fam — I am so inspired by many of you! And to hear that my journey has inspired some of you personally warms my heart.
I’m so grateful for the friends I’ve made & the memories we’ve created together. I’m so excited to be on the other side cheering for you all this Sunday at @nvmarathon !! 3 MORE DAYS LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOO.

Beyond Survival: Because animal welfare should mean more than survival. 🇵🇭

What started as a desire to rescue animals has become a much bigger mission.
As I’ve learned more about the challenges facing stray and impounded animals in the Philippines, I’ve realized that creating lasting change requires more than good intentions.

It requires understanding the systems in place, listening to communities, building relationships, and working together toward humane solutions.

This November, Barkada Paws Project is taking an important step forward with our first Philippines Research & Planning Trip.

We’ll be learning from local animal welfare organizations, exploring opportunities for collaboration, and researching ways to support preventive care, humane alternatives, and our long-term dream of building an animal sanctuary.

We’re raising $8,000 through our Beyond Survival campaign to help make this work possible.

This is just the beginning, and I’d love for you to be part of it.

From being a triathlete to battling paraganglioma, raising awareness, advocating for Pheo Para Alliance, and bringing together a beautiful community that’s become a force for good. I am so inspired by you, JP.

“The art of dying is the art of living fully.” - @jpconbrio

So grateful to have experienced the final edition, made new friends, and witnessed the beauty of people showing up for one another.

Thank you, JP, for reminding us to live fully and be a force for good. 🫶🐾

Haiii I’m Robyn 👋🏽 and I’m building a nonprofit with a really big dream. 🐾

@barkadapawsproject exists to help free animals from suffering — both here at home and in the Philippines. 🇵🇭

And one day, I dream of opening our own animal sanctuary in the Philippines. A place where animals can heal, feel safe, and finally belong. ✨

We’re only ONE year into this journey, and I’m sharing the building of it as we go.

If you believe in this dream too, you can help us reach more animal lovers without spending a thing:

❤️ Like
💬 Comment
↗️ Share
🔁 Watch again

Every little bit of engagement helps this tiny nonprofit find its Barkada (chosen family). 🐾

Follow along. We’re just getting started. 🌱
