🐾 I have a little challenge for our Barkada this week…

Can we raise $500 by Sunday?

One of the things I keep coming back to is how powerful a community can be when a lot of people choose to do one small thing together.

We don’t need one huge donation to make this happen.
$5 helps.
$10 helps.
$25 helps.
Sharing this post helps!!

There are so many things I want Barkada to accomplish for animals, especially as we continue building toward creating more direct impact in the Philippines. Every person who chooses to be part of this helps us keep moving forward. 🔥

I’ll be sharing our progress in Stories all week.

Starting goal: $0 / $500 🐾

Let’s see what our Barkada can do!!

Donate through the link in our bio, or share this post with someone who loves animals. 🐾

July impact 💛

Last month, we chose to direct our support toward cancer rescues in the Philippines—helping animals undergoing chemotherapy and receiving the continued care they need.

These are some of the fighters we were honored to support, all currently in the care of @pawssionproject 🐾

While we continue building toward Barkada’s future animal sanctuary in the Philippines, we’re committed to creating meaningful impact now by supporting animals and the organizations already doing lifesaving work on the ground.

Every donation, share, and person who believes in this mission helps us keep going. 💛

This post shares the happy moments lately. What you don’t see are the times I felt broken after being laid off and couldn’t find a job, that felt like forever. There were nights of feeling hopeless, lost, and alone. Especially moving at a time when everything around me felt like it was crumbling.

But it’s moments like these that remind me that being in those trenches is temporary. They remind me that I have so much to live for and that the growing pains are worth the struggle.

**jeez louise, talk about adulting *sheesh*🙄**

Life just keeps giving me more fruit to enjoy. Because more signs and blessings are popping around the corner left and right. 💓

Is this what healing feels like? I keep crossing paths with beautiful people on every corner.

Cheers & Curds to everyone else I don’t have a picture with just yet! 🍷🧀

Here are just a few of the sweet faces of the animals we were able to help support last month through one of our rescue partners in the Philippines @pawssionproject 🇵🇭🐾

Because our Barkada, 24 animals received support in April through food, care, safety, rehabilitation, and love — and now 10 animals have already been impacted so far this month in May 🥹

Right now, hundreds of rescue animals are still waiting for monthly sponsorship and continued care. If this is something that speaks to your heart, you can contribute through the link in our bio — or even simply sharing our mission means so much and helps us reach more compassionate humans 🤍

No act of compassion is ever too small. Together, we really are creating ripple effects of healing and love.

Barkada Walk & Sip had a beautiful turnout!
It meant so much to step into this community, meet so many new faces, and spend the morning with you and your pups ✨🐾

And the Barkada Brew… ube + coconut latte was SO good 💜 thank you @buzzcoffeesv 🐝☕

Thank you for showing up, getting those steps in with us, and supporting! Your presence alone means so much and is already huge support for Barkada 🐾

A big thank you to @suisunvlly.run.movement.club and @myvillage360 for this fun collab and for sharing your space with us 🤍

Can’t wait to connect more with you all ✨

This Valentine season, we’re turning kindness and love into action! 💖

I’m so excited to announce a special fundraiser with my sweet friend @sara_teachingmunchkins and her TK class! Her class is raising money to adopt and help care for a virtual class pet through our Love Travels: Paws Across the World campaign — and it is the sweetest thing!!

For every $30 they raise, the class will get to sponsor and support a real rescued dog or cat across the world for one whole month 🐶🐱💌

Just like a class pet… but one they help care for from afar.

This Valentine season, these little ones are learning that:
💛 Kindness matters and it can travel across the world
💛 Even $1 can make a difference
💛 When we work together, we can help others
💛 Animals matter and deserve love too

In addition to sharing valentines with each other, they are sharing love and kindess with animals who truly need it.

If you’d like to help support Sara’s TK class and their class pet(s) adoption, the link is in my bio! 🐾💖

Ruff Runners of @humanesocietynorthbay at @joyboundpeopleandpets Unleash The Love event🐾❤️ Chelly and Monica had a good time running the 5k and making new friends! I ran with Chelly and she is so sweet, she’s good with other dogs, crowds and kids. If you’re looking for a furry companion, she could be your girl! @gtmrunningclub

A lot of people come here thinking they need to be more healed first.

What usually happens instead is this:
their body softens…
their honesty deepens…
their nervous system stops bracing…
and they stop doing it alone.

These aren’t before-and-afters.
They’re lived moments of regulation, support, and self-trust returning back into their very real, human lives.

This is what it feels like when healing is whole-human, relational, and unforced.
This is what happens when you’re met where you are and not where you think you should be.

This is the field we hold at Light Oasis.
And you’re welcome to step into it in your own time.

Happy New Year, Barkada!! 🤍✨
I am so proud of the work we’ve done.
Let’s gooooooo 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Look at these beautiful furry faces 🐶🐱
My heart is so full!

✨ Here’s what our impact has looked like so far:
• Month 1: Supporting shelter needs at @pawssionproject
• Month 2 (our official public launch): Sponsoring 12 animals for an entire month!!
• This New Year: We just sent our next donation to sponsor 10 more animals in urgent need

This feels amazing.
We are actually making a difference—and this is only the beginning. 🐾💛

More of this in 2026!! More love. More action. More lives touched.

Please continue to share and donate when you can 💌

Share with animal lovers, lovers of nature & humanity—every single share helps us reach more hearts (and more paws). 🤍🐾
