Our spunky 2023 addition💛

I call Moose my heart dog but Phoebe is my soul dog🤍 She’s exactly everything I’ve wanted in a dog! Even though the beginning was rough (to no fault of her own) our connection has gotten so strong🫶🏽 She pushes me in ways that have made me grow in ways I didn’t know I needed

We had been wanting to add another dog to our family for a little while and honestly it took some time for me to convince Will to get a dog from a breeder vs a rescue. With all the issues that Moose had, I wanted a strong and stable dog with good genetics🧬 After a year of research, we got introduced to @tripleflushkennel and after our first phone call we knew we had found the perfect breeder for us! Their expertise and years of breeding gave us all the confidence and trust that we would end up with the the exact dog we were meant to have🩵

It’s definitely been a learning curve with training bc training a reactive dog is a total 180 compared to a confident pup🐶 It’s a different kind of challenge and one that I welcome bc learning more about how to fulfill her needs has been so fun & interesting. Its def a constant learning the more she grows and matures💗

She’s so freaking silly and we love it so much! There isn’t a day that goes by that she doesn’t make me laugh my ass off😂 She loves rolling around on the bed, giving lots of kisses and getting her ears flipped/lips stuck on her teeth😜 Moose is def her favorite out of the 3 of us and I love seeing their relationship get better over time🫶🏽

Will & Roshee💕

I’m Roshee! I run this account and Will is my helping hand! We started dating in July 2015, got engaged August 2024 & will be married in October 2025🫶🏽

I’m a chemist and my company makes different dyes to sell to other biotech companies. Our most popular product is a bioluminescent that attaches to cancer cells🌟 Will is a woodworker and works for a company that makes custom doors (think wineries and fancy homes). He hopes to one day have his own business and focus more on functional art pieces🪵

We both grew up in the Bay Area, CA and have moved from there to SLO area and back and back again over the last 9 years😅 but like how lucky am I that he would move with me every time🫶🏽 We love living in the central coast of California and all the adventures that come with living here🌊

We love dispersed camping, hiking, and walking on the beach! And of course, all of these activities are made better with dogs💗 taken in Kauai,Hawai by @roshingtoadventure

Moose🫎

We got Moose in January of 2020 from @rocketdogrescue🫶🏽 We knew literally nothing about Formosan Mountain Dogs and tbh it was very stressful in the beginning! We were expecting a plug and play dog and he was far from that. Luckily he had amazing fosters who regularly worked with FMDs and they were a big help to us (shoutout @gluedtoapost & @sanfransutro)!

His little backstory is that a rescue in Taiwan found him and his 9 brothers and sisters in a field and scooped them up. The rescue here in SF brought them all over and within a week he went from being on a scary plane, to the fosters, and then to us🌀

This dog is my heart through and through🥰 He taught me so much about being a dog owner from learning patience and taking things slow to being more aware of others and their personal space. He’s also taught me about being true to who you are and not feeling sorry about it💁🏽‍♀️

He loves forehead kisses and sleeping in your knee pit🥰 Seriously one of the sweetest dogs and if he likes you then consider yourself lucky! You’re a pack member for life💕
He loves trick training and is actually so good at free shaping tricks👏🏽 He’s come so freaking far from when we first got him and not being able to walk down the street to walking through a Halloween festival on the way home🥳

He’s taught Phoebe dog signals and it’s helped her so much! Moose is Phoebes favorite out of the 3 of us even though he’s still not 100% sold on her😂

Man do I have a story for you guys🫖

This story takes place on the trail pictured. We walk this trail every single day and I normally go after work except for the days that I’m off or on very hot days🥵

I was off on Monday so I decided to go in the morning before it got too hot. This trail doesn’t have any signage about dogs so 90% of people walk their dogs off leash here. It’s honestly the place where people bring their high energy dogs to run their hearts out bc it’s the only place in town that doesn’t say “dogs on leash” except for the dog park.

Walking a trail every day means I recognize a lot of the same people/dogs so I know when to leash them up vs when it’s okay to leave them off🦮

Well I saw this Karen lady who I’ve run into once before who gave me the biggest stink for having my dogs off leash even when I leashed them up to pass her. So when I saw her on Monday morning, I decided to just move off the path more and let the dogs stay off leash. I’m gonna present you with the convo that happened:

Her: “you know what you’re doing”
Me: “excuse me?”
Her: “you’re a fucking idiot”
Me: “wow that was rude”
Her: “dogs have to be on leash”
Me: “the trail says nothing about dogs needing to be on leash”
Her: “use your fucking brain you fucking idiot. It’s a city wide ordinance”
Me: “the trail would say if they had to be. Have a great day”
Her: “fuck off”

The dogs literally didn’t bother her and didn’t even go up to her. I totally do understand that it is a city wide ordinance but I’m a firm believer in if it was required then the trailhead would say. And also it’s literally the only trail in the area that doesn’t say “dogs on leash” and my dogs have excellent recall so I’m okay with “breaking the rules” because I know I have voice control over my dogs.

It was such a crazy interaction to have at 8am and I even asked this other lady on a scooter (who has the most docile lab I’ve ever met) if she yelled at her too and she said yes. We talked for a little bit and scooter lady said she lives across the street so she’s gonna keep an eye out for this crazy lady.

Phoebe is 3!!

Our crazy little nugget has graced us with her presence for three whole years!! She’s exactly the dog I always wanted🩷

We love her spunky personality and she always cracks us up! We love watching her swim, find hidden objects and live life to the fullest🤩 by @roshingtoadventure

This was quite possibly one of the funniest moments from our last camping trip😂 We were in the middle of a card game when Phoebe decided she was done laying on the ground and wanted to lay on us and who are we to say no?

But then her foot kept getting in the way of seeing the cards on the table so we improvised😂 She couldn’t care less and was just happy to be cuddling with us🩷

Happy 7th birthday to this love of ours🥰

I can’t believe he’s now considered a senior dog😭 It feels like just yesterday that we picked up this terrified 7 month old puppers and brought him home! He’s grown so much over the years and it’s been incredible watching him become more confident💪🏽 He’s such a lover boy who always wants to be near us💙

We love him so so much and hope to have another 7 years of exploring💗

Also no one should be surprised to hear that he did not eat his cookie but luckily he has a little sister who did😂 Swipe to the last slide see how Moose feels about turning 7😳 by @roshingtoadventure

Taking photos of the two of them together has gotten so much easier!

I’ve finally found a good way of positioning them together for photos📸 I put Phoebe in a middle and then Moose in a tight heel, get them both to sit & stay and then I move away to snap the shot💥 Now getting them both to look at the camera is a whole different story😅

Do you have a specific way of taking photos of multiple dogs together?

Did you guess the dog with the big mask on her head is the reactive one?

You’d be wrong🤪

It’s always a little comical to me that people are usually afraid of Phoebe approaching them/their dogs bc the helmet makes it seem like she’s dangerous⚠️ In reality, she’s friendly and Moose is the one who doesn’t like dogs🙅🏽‍♀️

The helmet is a foxtail helmet and it protects her ears, nose, eyes and mouth from foxtails getting in and burrowing🪖 We had gone to the ER quite a few times in our first year with her to get foxtails removed bc she loves to run through the brush! It’s in her DNA to run like that and we don’t want to stifle her joy so foxtail helmet it is!! She also does not care about wearing it one bit and can see perfectly fine🥰

I’m so proud of this little lady!

We’ve gone out on the paddle board twice and she’s done pretty good thanks to our training! 🚣🏽‍♀️I realized that I was training her to lay down on the board but she doesn’t like laying down on it on the water since the water touches her belly😂 She also would like to swim more than I let her and she has lots of opinions on that📣 by @roshingtoadventure

When I tell people we’re unsure about having kids and dogs are filling that space for now and they don’t understand. Right now in my life I can’t imagine doing all the things I’m doing and have to do all the things that are asked of parents at the same time.

I remember all the last minute projects I asked my parents to help with and how I don’t feel like I have the bandwidth to do all those things that they did for me! If I’m not going to give it my all then I’m not going to do it💁🏽‍♀️

People assume that we don’t like kids bc we don’t think we’re going to have any. That’s not the case at all! We love kids and love spoiling our friend’s kids! by @roshingtoadventure
