wow i really struck a nerve when i said the universe was taking our vows to heart and making our first year of marriage a tough one. and yet here we are in year 2 having experienced even more loss and grief than i ever thought possible. but that has only reassured me that marrying you was the best decision of my life, because being married to you is the best part of every day. losing my job was shit, and the job search hasn’t been better. you’ve never stopped cheering me on. losing my dad sucked. your steady support through the process never wavered. griffin’s lymphoma recurrence, chemo, remission, recurrence again, and our ultimate decision to let him go was the most difficult and heartbreaking process of my entire life. i never would have survived it without you and us being on the same page about every decision along the way. living with this grief and sadness is so fucking terrible but your love sustains me. having a baseline of “sad” really sucks, especially when we have had so much to be joyful about in the last year. we have had so much fun celebrating weddings, birthdays, countless perfectly cooked meals, season 2 of severance finally coming out, multiple dino and fossil viewings, upgrading to a king size bed, the niners getting a new kicker who can actually see 👏🏼 and of course welcoming new tiny family members: deebo for us, sienna and johnny (and soon to be georgia!) on my side, as well as the first baird nephew, charlie 🥹 thank you for always making me laugh, and for letting me cry all the time. thank you for being griffins favorite popsicle, and sometimes letting deebo cuddle you. i never want to stop doing life with you, no matter how many curveballs it throws us 🫶🏼 (but if an etsy witch could please give us like a teensy little breathing room please?? much appreciated 🙂‍↕️✨🔮)
