When your bride is an event planner, you know the brief is going to be good.

A ceremony in the breathtaking chapel at Rugby School, followed by a band procession through the grounds leading guests up to the most beautiful sailcloth marquee, nestled amongst the trees. Cocktails, a live illustrator capturing the moment, and an evening that unfolded exactly as it should.

Michaela is an event planner herself — so she knew better than anyone exactly what this day needed. She’d already brought so much of her own vision together brilliantly. What she didn’t want to do was work on her own wedding day. And honestly? We completely understand.

That’s where we came in. So that Michaela and Kit could be completely, fully present for every single moment — as a bride and groom, not as planners.

The result was everything.

Lunch in the original classroom.

Once the setting of Rugby School’s classroom, with boys gathering around open fireplaces listening avidly to their teachers, now a jewel in our historical crown.

Old Big School’s wood panelled walls are adorned with etchings from past students telling a tale of what went before.
Now this beautiful room is the ideal space for a formal dinner. Dine with a bespoke menu from our talented chefs and take in the wonder of this space.

Get in touch for more information.

Rugby School is pleased to formalise its partnership with @warwickshireccc until the end of the 2028 season. The first of three one-day matches took place at the School on Sunday 2 August, with matches also taking place on Sunday 9 August and Tuesday 11 August 2026.

The partnership establishes Rugby School as a recognised strategic partner of Warwickshire CCC, creating a long-term relationship designed to benefit students, players, supporters and the wider cricket community.

Head Master Gareth Parker-Jones said: ‘The Close provides an iconic setting for professional cricket, with the matches providing a great opportunity for people in Rugby and the surrounding area to watch top-level cricket. The wide-ranging nature of the partnership means that Rugby School will become an important hub for growing participation in the game, and will continue to provide a route for those who have aspirations to play at the highest level.’

Rugby’s Head of Cricket is Michael Powell, former Warwickshire CCC Captain and England ‘A’ cricketer. The Head of Girls’ Cricket is Adam Pursell, current Staffordshire Performance Coach.

Michael Powell, Head of Cricket, former Warwickshire CCC Captain and England ‘A’ cricketer said: “This partnership will provide opportunities for young players across Warwickshire to enjoy our outstanding facilities throughout the winter and during cricket festivals in the summer. By opening our doors to more young cricketers, we hope to support their development, inspire a lifelong love of the game and strengthen the pathway for cricket across the county.”

Both our Girls’ and Boys’ 1st XI cricket teams won the U18 National Cup Championships at Lord’s in 2025, the most prestigious prize in UK schools’ cricket. Successful cricketing alumni include Jacob Bethell, who plays for England and became the youngest cricketer in history to captain England’s men’s team; Maia Bouchier, who plays for England’s women; and Amu Surenkumar, who represented England Women U19s.

What a glorious day Matt and Katy had for their wedding at Rugby School!
It was a beautiful hot day but the cake didn't melt, (of course) it was covered in a pretty peach chocolate ganache which stood up to the weather brilliantly.
Katy and Matt choose tiers of pistachio with chocolate orange, raspberry with white chocolate and carrot with cinnamon.

For K, who married S last weekend. @rugbyschool1567 @rugbyschoolenterprises

A beautiful, floofy, fluffy mix of pastels with a few bright pops. Wait til you see the chapel flowers! 😍

I don’t have favourites but… 😳

This is what you get when you trust your florist to source the best, in season flowers from local growers: variety, texture, movement and arrangements that are ‘you’ and only ‘you’.

There is availability to create for you this year and 2027 diary is open. DM or email for flowers that are ‘you’.

Huge thanks to @paintboxblooms and @_honestyflowers_ for their beautiful flowers which played so effortlessly with my own. 😘😘😘 taken in Rugby School by @rugbyschoolenterprises
