POSTS STORIES REELS

If you’ve found your way here, welcome.

I’m Ruth Olson, a Human-Centered Living and Performance Coach based in New York City.

My work helps people replace self-judgment with self-empathy, and from that foundation build stronger relationships, clearer leadership, and more resilient lives.

I work with individuals navigating meaningful transitions, as well as leaders and teams who want to bring more humanity, clarity, and relational intelligence into the way they live and work.

My approach integrates reflective insight with embodied awareness - because real change happens when the mind and body are both part of the conversation.

In a world that constantly pushes us to move faster and perform more, this work offers something different: space to pause, listen inward, and reconnect with the wisdom that allows us to move forward with courage and self-trust.

Clients often tell me the work feels both grounding and catalytic, practical enough to create real change, and spacious enough to help them hear themselves again.

If this resonates, I’m glad you’re here.

Your heart races. Your palms sweat. Your stomach goes queasy.

Your body is paying attention. Are you?

We’re all afraid of something. It’s called being human. But what if, instead of trying to push fear away, we could hear what it might be telling us?

I’m super happy to be returning to @92streety with What Are You So Afraid Of? Your Fear Knows Something You Don’t.

After our first event sold out twice, we’re coming back for an encore! I’ll share a practical framework to help you notice its signals, understand its message and use what you learn to move forward.

“I won’t give you responsibility for my stability.”

A comment. A look. Someone’s disapproval. It can take so little to knock us off balance.

I love this phrase because it reminds me that I have a say in what happens next. I can feel the sting, pause, and hold onto my own equilibrium.

Someone else’s words or actions may not feel good. But I don’t have to hand them the power to determine my inner state.

These reflections from my September 23 workshop, What Are You So Afraid Of? Your Fear Knows Something You Don’t, mean a lot to me.

Thank you to everyone who came, shared, asked brave questions, and elevated the room.

And some happy news: September’s workshop sold out, moved to a larger room, and sold out again. Now @92NY has invited me back.

December 2. An encore, with more to explore.

If you couldn’t join us in September, I’d love to see you there. Registration link coming soon. by @rutholsoncoaching

“Your purpose is to be who you are.”

Marianne Williamson shared this at her conversation with Rabbi David Ingber at 92NY this week, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

It sounds so simple. But being ourselves can take courage - especially when we’ve grown accustomed to being who others need or expect us to be.

In fact, the clues are already there: when you enjoy what you do, feel at ease with the people around you, and like who you are in those moments.

Pay attention to those moments - it’s there that you’re living your purpose. by @rutholsoncoaching

Friends for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

I’ve been thinking about that phrase as a reminder that we get to choose who we spend our precious energy with.

Notice how you feel after being with someone. Do you feel heard, well, and more connected to yourself? Or do you leave feeling drained or less like yourself?

The people we spend time with shape where we’re going. Choose with care. 💛 by @rutholsoncoaching

Two days out from What Are You So Afraid Of?

I’ve loved writing this workshop, creating the framework, and discovering how deeply the work has changed my own life.

I know it works. And I cannot wait to share it.

Wednesday at 92NY ❤️

Fear doesn’t always look like fear.
Sometimes it hides beneath old stories and beliefs we’ve mistaken for truth.

In five days, we’re going to uncover it and learn a completely different way to respond.
