Happy 4th birthday to our sweet angel, Olive. 🫒 ✨ by @ryan_field_

Happiest of birthdays to my wife and love of my life @melissafindley ❤️ you are the embodiment of all things good in this life and it is an utter joy to walk by your side as your husband.

If you know Melissa, then you probably love Melissa. One of my favorite things about her (I have a running list) is the way that she makes literally everyone feel seen and safe, from a lifetime friend to a stranger in passing. That’s the thing, I’m pretty sure there are no strangers to her, only friends she’s yet to meet. A true 1 of 1 if there ever was.

If you have a free minute, please wish this sweet human a happy birthday 🫶🏼

Love you. Always. @melissafindley by @ryan_field_

For the last 10 years, I’ve extensively and exclusively used @lensrentals to help fill gaps in my kit and to better inform myself of the gear that I actually need vs. the gear that I simply want. This has not only helped me to avoid the sunken costs of acquiring pieces that are rarely used, but has also helped to refine my vision as an artist as I learned to focus on what matters most: the story instead of all the other stuff.

This is a small collection of images from my most recent rental order with @lensrentals. These are assets that’s were created with gear that I didn’t own, but might someday after seeing the potential and promise of having them in hand. by @ryan_field_

Behind The Scenes: DUALITY.
A very special project that highlights the newly released Leica SL3-P and Melissa’s journey from small town Australia to the bright lights of NYC. I couldn’t be any more proud of our team, I’m pretty sure that this is the best thing that we’ve ever produced. Full project and video to be released early July in collaboration with Leica Camera USA.

After an “eventful” day of travel, we arrived in the dark, 6 hours late, to an absolute deluge of Washington’s finest raindrops. The hopes and dreams of altruistic preproduction were scattered to the wind, but in their place, and in true @treehousepoint fashion, something else far greater transpired: a much needed reset for the nervous system.

Instead of spending every moment roaming the property and checking off our shot list, we spent time by the fire, drinking coffee, reading books, catching up with eachother in ways that busy schedules often prevent. I fell in love with the reflections that the newly formed puddles provided, the dew drop details of every plant we passed and the experience of simply existing in a very special time and space.

What we had hoped for and expected didn’t come to fruition, and that’s okay. What @treehousepoint promised was a unique way to rest, relax and reconnect without any pressure to perform. Turns out, they had the right plan all along 👏🏼

Can’t wait to go back with you @melissafindley ❤️ by @ryan_field_

While the soft winter light and hyper ethereal marine layer provide the perfect backdrop for photography, the most alluring element of the Oregon Coast is something that I often have trouble explaining or articulating to someone who has never been.

For me, it’s an undeniable attraction to the ambience. Like a moth to lantern light. The sights, sounds, textures and tones all weave together in a tapestry for the senses, an effortless melody where simple moments are often the soundtrack to lasting memories. A place that gently reminds you to be present and that the “good old days” aren’t always in the past.

Melissa and I recently had the incredible opportunity to join our friends and family @dannerboots for the Kendal Mountain Festival. Known as the gateway to the Lake District, Kendal is rife with inimitable natural beauty and it proved to be the perfect gathering point for the likeminded adventurer and explorer. We spend 3 days soaking in the sights and sounds of the most vibrant community, and came away inspired beyond measure. We were a long way from our house, but always had the strangest sensation that we were right at home at the Kendal Mountain Festival.

Thank you to @dannerboots for a truly unforgettable experience 🥾 by @ryan_field_

The Swiss Alps have this inimitable influence of inspiring you to slow down and savor the simple with all of your senses. Even against the backdrop of next level luxury and obscene natural beauty, there is always this gentle reminder of what really matters most. On this particular Autumn morning, it was coffee, croissants and great company 🇨🇭

Thank you to @leicacamerausa for the incredible opportunity to recently spend some time with the new Leica M EV1. This camera felt familiar from the first frame as it offered the classic manual M experience, with the added advantage of an electronic viewfinder. This feature is a core function and native to the excellent Q system, which made it feel like a harmonious arrangement of form and function.

With the M EV1, you still set the focus and exposure by hand, but the EVF gives a clear look at the scene, while the magnification and focus aid features are much appreciated and super employable for trying to nail focus every time.

This camera maintains the inimitable character of the M system, while crafting a modern way to compose and create in a unique hybrid nature.

The new M EV1 is simply a joy to use and we owe a huge thanks to @maryirenem @kellumphoto @jack_devanna @leicacamerausa for the experience. 🔴 by @ryan_field_
