Since the beginning, this has never just been about fitness. It’s been about people. Purpose. Growth. It’s been about showing up for yourself when it’s hard. About becoming someone you’re proud of, from the inside out.

The journey to this point has been humbling. I’ve had the privilege to work with some incredible individuals. People who trusted me to walk with them through their challenges, their goals, and their transformation. To every single one of you who’s supported this vision since we first launched in January, THANK YOU. Your belief has fueled every step of this process.

Doctors gave Johnny less than a 1% chance to live. A freak ocean accident. A misdiagnosis. Years unable to walk or do anything on his own.

But Johnny refused to be defined by the odds.
He fought back. He persevered through the unthinkable. Today, he drives. He mows his own lawn from his wheelchair. He trains his butt off with me inside the gym every single week.

Johnny doesn’t let his handicap define him. He proves daily that the human spirit is unbreakable. He is living proof that with resilience and grit, nothing is impossible.

🎓We did it! We met at work in 2013 and whewww… we have been through some serious LIFE since then!

Centralizations, decentralizations, divorces, marriages to two wonderful men, raising teenagers (which is a degree in itself) career changes, surgeries, and everything in between that life has sent our way.

And somehow we both finished our degrees🎓

It wasn’t always easy, and life definitely didn’t stop just because we had assignments due, but we kept going. So yeah… we HAD to celebrate this one. 🥂

So incredibly proud of us, Shan. Thirteen years, with a whole lot of life, and now we get to say WE DID IT ❤️🎓

And yes… my social media hiatus lasted two days. I really tried. 😂 taken in The Garlic by @ryansickfit

If you know me well, you know I wear EVERYTHING into the ground. 😂

And my truck was no exception.

Seven solid years with my Ford. That thing got me everywhere, hauled everything, and treated me damn well.

But it was time.

Somehow I found the exact truck I’ve wanted for years, and I’m pretty stoked about it.

More than anything, I’m grateful to finally have a reliable truck again.

God is good. 🙏🏼

Happy 1st Birthday Rosita Linda de mi corazón ♥️ (7/25)

I still remember crying on the kitchen floor begging @ryansickfit for this little puppy because I knew that my heart needed her.

I had no idea just how much she would mean to me. In the short time she has been with me, she has been my comfort through some of the most difficult seasons of my life. She is my constant reminder that sometimes the things that we ask for find us exactly when we need them. And also, that there is such a thing as a doggy soulmate 😍

It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Beau as he prepares for football season.

Last week, I had the opportunity to host the very first SickFitness Summer Sports & Adventure Camp for kids ages 4–10.

It was an absolute blast from start to finish.

We packed a TON into 5 days. Sports, relay races, scavenger hunts, nutrition challenges, healthy smoothies and yogurt parfaits, water battles, and some fierce competition. Man these kids were competitive! 😆

One thing that stood out to me all week was seeing a group of kids completely engaged without a screen in sight. Instead of spending their days behind a tablet, they were outside running, competing, solving challenges, working together, and making memories with their friends. It was a great reminder that kids still love being active when they’re given the opportunity.

Working with our youth is one of the most rewarding parts of what I get to do. And when a kid looks at you and says, “This is the best summer camp I’ve ever been to,” it makes every hour of planning, preparation, and hard work completely worth it.
