These flowers look like they were painted directly onto the skin! Helena wanted flowers that flowed freely and harmoniously with her body. We went with a watercolor style for her flowers to give a sense of delicateness, while their large scale also gave them a sense of strength. Thank you for trusting me to bring your idea to life Helena! Your surroundings can completely change the way getting tattooed feels. When we created EXEX, we wanted the space itself to be part of the experience. Natural light, plants, pieces from our travels, and the Montana woods surrounding us helps create an environment that feels comfortable, welcoming, and uniquely ours. Because when you’re spending hours with us creating a tattoo that will be with you forever, we want the experience to be relaxing and to exceed your expectations! A great tattoo experience is about more than the tattoo. Getting tattooed can be personal. It requires trust, vulnerability, and spending a lot of time with another person during an experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life. That’s why we want EXEX to be a place where you can feel completely comfortable being yourself whether that means sharing stories, laughing together, or simply enjoying some comfortable silence. The tattoo may be what brings you through our doors, but the connection we build with our clients is one of our favorite parts of what we do! Thank you for trusting us with your tattoo Helena! Transforming a birthmark into something beautiful. Erica wanted a tattoo that could incorporate a birthmark she has on her arm into the design. It was something she was self conscious of, but after going through the interview process, designing the tattoo, and then finally the finished product…we were able to create something that she loved! Our goal isn’t just to tattoo our clients… At EXEX we want to connect with our clients in a way that makes the experience of getting a tattoo feel meaningful. We have our clients go through a questionnaire process to get to know them better so that we can really have a deep understanding before we even start drawing their tattoo. This makes it so that we can give our clients art that they are going to love for the rest of their life! Thank you for trusting us with your tattoo Sebastian! Artillery Eagle for Sebastian 🙌 This tattoo was so much fun to do! The amount of time we spent going over his ideas and elements he wanted in the tattoo made it so that this tattoo turned out better than either of us could have come up with on our own! Thank you for bringing this awesome idea into the shop Sebastian, looking forward to the next one! The work you do before the moment often matters more than the moment itself. I used to think photoshoots were the hard part. But looking back, I realized I was getting in my own way before I ever stepped in front of the camera. The better I took care of myself beforehand, the more confident and present I felt when it actually mattered. _______________________________________________________ #EXEX #EXEXGlobal #EXEXTattoo #montanatattoo by @ryvyvl

I love how this tattoo flows naturally with her arm! One of my favorite parts of designing a tattoo is making sure it complements the natural shape of the body and flows well. When a piece is designed for the body before you even start your drawing, everything feels more balanced, cohesive, and intentional. I had so much fun creating this tattoo for Lacey, and I love how beautifully it came together. Lacey, thank you for trusting me with such a meaningful piece!
