SALOON Berlin members Patricia Detmering, Manja Ebert, Nadine Kolodziey, Kathrin Hunze, Giulia Bowinkel, Yvon Chabrowski, Bianca Kennedy, Dagmar Schürrer, Ornella Fieres and Peggy Schoenegge are involved in the group exhibition and festival 𝗛𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗘𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦, a project on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the media art association berlin (mkv).

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the medienkunstverein (mkv) looks behind the sleek surfaces of the displays in our everyday lives and asks: What actually happens while we swipe, tap and scroll? Digital infrastructures have long permeated our social and private lives, yet their underlying processes remain hidden to most users. At the same time, they shape our present, from automated communication and algorithmic filters to surveillance and the data economy. The exhibition HIDDEN PROCESSES makes these structures accessible, rendering the invisible visible and thus tangible.

Impressions of the SALOON Berlin meeting at „Page ↔ Plan“ with SALOON Berlin members Laure Catugier and Jae Kyung Kim at einBuch.haus.

The exhibition brings together projects developed during residencies in Romania, France, and Taiwan; her open-call collaborations with AMBruno (Rythmn and Final); as well as four new book publications: A Never-Ending Stone, STOIC, SPLIT, and Autodafé. These are accompanied by the first presentation of the Blueprint prints, created during her residency at Texture Printmaking Lab in Tainan, Taiwan.

Together, the works present the book simultaneously as image and architecture: as a site where photographs gain volume, pages become structure, and reading turns into an act of physical navigation.

SALOON Berlin member Katia Hermann curates the duo show >>Holzig?!<< with works by Aurélie Pertusot and SALOON Berlin member Elma Riza at Retramp Gallery, running until October 11, 2026

The duo exhibition *Holzig?!* presents thematically curated works by visual artists Elma Riza and Aurélie Pertusot for the Retramp Gallery in Berlin. Both artists, who work across disciplines – Elma Riza in Berlin and Aurélie Pertusot in Nancy and Berlin – have collaborated on various projects in recent years and consistently explore the relationship between body and space. In their works ‘space’ can refer to urban space, architecture or landscape. Through their artistic practice, perceptions of our inner and outer environments are repeatedly and playfully questioned, and relationships renegotiated.

SALOON Berlin member @art.hock curates the group show „Women support Women - 100 Jahre GEDOK“ at @kommunale_galerien_berlin, running until January 10, 2027.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of GEDOK, Kommunale Galerie Berlin presents the collaborative exhibition Women Support Women. Fifteen artists selected by a jury have created new works especially for the exhibition. Through painting, photography, video, installation, performance, and sculpture, they look back on the history of the association, reflect on their position as women artists in a society that is still structured by patriarchal systems, and explore new ways of strengthening the visibility of women artists.

Saloon Member @birte.endrejat will present her permanent artwork Random Conversations at the opening of Minna-Cauer-Schule @minnacauerschule in Berlin-Tempelhof on October 2nd.

Join us for a first introduction to the project, the on-site installation of a 14-metre-wide split-flap display, and 1,500 questions addressing the school and its community.

The installation brings together three years of conversations and collaboration between the artist and the school community — and offers a glimpse into the process behind the work.

Two publications about the project, realised in collaboration with @vexerberlin, will also be presented at the event.

Join us between 2–5:30 pm to celebrate the opening of the school and the artwork.

There will be music, talks, food — and you and your kids are very welcome! ✨

MATERNAL FANTASIES invites participants to develop and perform their own version of the „First Supper“ together.

The idea is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting The Last Supper. Together a new image is created with a group of people with different backgrounds and fantastical beings. It is about life, togetherness, and the connection between different generations.

SALOON Berlin members Elisa Duca and Nina Kraus invite you to the Artparcours LÜFT to Gropiusstadt on Sunday, September 6, from 1 to 6 pm.

Wildmeisterdamm runs right through Gropiusstadt, connecting different neighborhoods with the adjacent nature and bird sanctuary. Here, the heights of Gropiusstadt meet the air currents of the vast landscape — Gropiusstadt was planned with a vision of light, air, and sun.

On this day, visitors can immerse themselves in clouds of sound, enjoy the view of Gropiusstadt from the 29th floor of the IDEAL building, and discover works of art and installation stations in the alcoves along the path.
