it’s my birth month and I wanted to share some fun side hustles I’ve been working on!!!

for the past few years, I’ve been photographing the most lovely people and have only worked by word of mouth — this has been so great building up my skills, but why not level up…why not do moreeee freelance work?!

when the worlds of music and photography find a lil love child, my heart is sooooo happy!!!!

from pre-show empty seat auditoriums and artist jitters to crowds filing in and then bam—the show we’ve been waiting for! live music is such a gift and reflecting on the ability to experience something as transcendent as music together is seriously a miracle.

I met Sarah while we were both working at @thistlefarms – she is a serious gem of a human and became such a close friend (which is such a gift in coworkers).

When I was making hard decisions, celebrating high highs, or holding the tension of hope and sadness that exists working with those in recovery, she would be a team’s message away and always down to grab coffee in the cafe.

Her faith inspires me. Her deep care for global and local communities encourages me. And her spirit of humble love is admirable.

the perfect summer shoot.

I work with Judy & Bella at @thistlefarms and this was the sweeeeetest time ever to see the joy of their whole fam!!!!!

I’m so grateful for the love between generations, hopeful attitude, and the many dogs that make up their village. When thinking of where to shoot, the most natural place was Judy’s home. And did they make me feel like their own!

Grateful for days when work and creativity collides and y’all make it easy!!!!

I never shared the full versions of my music videos from the “A Candle On A Busy Street” project on socials—so, Mona Lisa!💌

Whenever I write a song, visuals are the first thing that comes to mind…not production, or socials, but how does the song look in my brain space and feel in my body.

When I started to visualize “Mona Lisa” I knew I wanted to feature other famous works of art and create a world where the characters came to life out of their golden cells and untouchable identities.

Soooo — we’ve got the Mona Lisa (big wow), the Girl with the Pearl Earring (played by emma!), the Desperate Man (easton — my cowriter and frame-punching actor), and a modern-day American Gothic by my favorite’s joy and tim!

I worked with the ever amazing @pennykapa on this video — she shot and we co-directed, planning out scene-by-scene and filming in her basement. It was the best time and I adore her.

As an indie artist, I have learned the magic of turnip green, spray painting frames, and how to ball on a budget.

🪏🪏🪏?!!! ummmm…this was THE BEST most random shoot and I loved every second.

at the time, @michelleraybournmusic + @ryder_guido were working on a podcast on dead authors (stay tuned on what they might be working up in the future) and we were shooting fun promo for it.

they are both such creative and intellectual minds—making for such a fun concept and time together.

I wanted the photos to feel spooky, a bit overly constrasted and “foggy”… tbh, I’m kind of obsessed with how they turned out! lf there’s a theme, I’m ya girl.

last spring I took my film camera out to one of my favorite places in all of nashville, the Scarritt Bennett.

I remember the first time I came here right before I studied abroad in London—I was looking for somewhere that didn’t feel like the city and I lived on 15th ave at the time and stumbled upon it on an afternoon walk. the greenery and cathedrals felt like a quiet embrace and a much needed resting stop. then I went to London and was equally floored by reverent architectural greatness (like how??? amazing.)

truly springtime and cherry blossoms are such a mixed bag. tornados and unexpected weather only to bloom these unworldly beauties. the song playing overtop is “cherry blossoms” by @andysquyres and one that I’ve played and played and played to remind myself of the God of the unseen and the seen. how he cares for the tiny white flowers because he cares for me!

for the past three years, I’ve had the joy and honor of being in the @koinonianashville fam!

this church celebrates cross-cultural unity and belonging in such beautiful and refreshjng ways — I’m truly so grateful!

the past couple of summers I’ve gotten to write songs for the different themes and take photos for our VBS!!!!! hollaaaaaa! these kids are cherished, uplifted, and reminded of their embodied dignity through the warmth of this community.

pioneer town 🤝 ‘JANIE BLUE’ (perf lil book my mama wrote!)

a couple summers ago, my family hiked out in joshua tree and stumbled upon pappy & harriet’s, which was a bar my mom drew inspiration for her new book!

my mom (@suzyaccola !) grew up in southern california and had loved this spot since she was a kid — full circle for us all to celebrate her book release in a place special to her. we ordered bloody mary’s, made friends with the bartenders and tried to embrace the wild of the west.

I loved learning the history of the greats who’ve played in the bar venue (paul mccartney, vampires weekend, sturgill simpson) and as a musician, it set a dream in my mind for the future — we’ll see if it happens in this mysterious out-of-a-dr.suess-book looking town! taken in Joshua Tree National Park by @sammithecreative

the girl gang grads of my dreams!!!!!💫

Meredith, Chloe, Sofia, Bianca (& Anna Grace) — y’all are so special to me and your genuineness in who you are was a gift to capture for this momentous celebration!

it all started with a dm slide up from sofia’s story, reaching out for photographers and I was like “ladiessss, let’s go!!!” so grateful they took me up on it and we had the absolute best time climbing trees (@ chloe), smelling magnolias, dancing like fools, and tossing up tassels!

I love the whimsy in this group and made sure the photos caught all their glorious girlhoodness🤸🏼‍♀️🤸🏻‍♂️🤸

now, many of them are east nash neighbors and I couldn’t be more stoked to stay friends! love u queens!!!!💌

trulah is a true and lovely artist. I’m deeply grateful for the friendship that has slowing (but surely) been forming and for the relentless pursuit of God and his kindness she seeks.

I got this text a couple days before she headlined the analog and it was such a delight to photograph the night! Her music is ACTUALLY played on repeat in my car and in my still times—someone who walks the walk fr.

I wanted these photos to share her elegance and pure love. We had such a blast running around the hotel beforehand and chatting all things indie artist life and hope for the night.

I love her intentionality for gathering her close friends for prayer before the show and the joy to play from all the musicians she brought together.
