Celebrating in Oz @ttteatteri of the opening night of our ambitious production of WICKED together with my wonderful choreographer @jarisaarelainen 💚

Together we have been responsible for titles such as BILLY ELLIOT, MATILDA, SCHOOL OF ROCK and Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST + many more. Creative collaboration is demanding and requires a lot from everyone involved, but it should also be fun, inspiring, and rewarding. With Jari it most definitely is. A creative collaboration turned into a lifelong friendship. 🩷💚

Jari is also a wizard when it comes to gardening and decoration, and he is behind the very popular @kotiografi account. I suggest you give him a follow 🌷

Tonight, Wicked opens at @ttteatteri — and I honestly don’t know how to put into words what it means to direct this show for the second time. It was already a dream come true back in 2023 in Sweden. Getting to return to it, deeper and wiser, with a whole new design, production, and cast, is a gift I don’t take lightly.

None of this happens alone. I’m endlessly grateful to the extraordinary cast, creative team, and everyone at TTT who poured their talent and heart into building this world with me — and to my own team at @harjannecompany , who managed the creative team collaboration behind the scenes and made sure every piece fell into place.

I am extremely proud of the cast, including many new members of our fantastic community! May this musical be one to remember, and to kickstart fabulous careers. You are all stars in my eyes.

Tonight we open the curtain on something we’re all so proud of. Fighting against populism, supporting otherness, believing that everyone deserves a chance to fly. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey — on stage, backstage, and beyond. Defying gravity, together. 🩷💚

Juliet is alive and well, and living her best life in Helsinki!

Tonight we open & JULIET in Finland, and I’m so excited! This musical is perhaps the best jukebox musical ever, and I am forever thankful for everyone who made this journey possible. This show is full of girl power (which I clearly am a huge fan of), empowerment, and nostalgia. The score is basically the soundtrack of my life, and the script is so cleverly put together.

None of this would be possible without all the ambitious professionals of the Helsinki City Theatre, both creative and productional personnel. None of this would be possible without all the hardworking performers who breathe life into each (possibly even dead) character. And none of this would be possible without the amazing creative team of this show!

I have once again had the privilege to collaborate and work with some of the greatest legendary artists of the country, and at the same time with some of the amazing talents who are taking their first steps to this profession. What a pleasure it is to experience such passion and dedication. My profession takes me to such front-row-seats to witness amazing development. I am so proud of every single person on and off stage! You are all superstars and deserve all the praise that is coming your way.

And finally, I hope & JULIET offers perspective to someone who might not see reasons for choosing life. Our lives are not scripted, nor possible to foresee. Hopefully this show encourages people to live, experience life with all its colors, and to write our own stories. And that makes us larger than life.

Summer 2026 was wonderful ☀️🌷
I have been able to be home as well as take a holiday. I took my lovely mother to a few weeks adventure from London to Reykjavik, and this journey was unforgettable and important to both of us. Special mother-son-time ❤️
I have been fortunate to spend a lot of time with my amazing husband @stigcbr650r_ider and seen many friends over the weeks. Now I am ready to get back to work and return to & JULIET and WICKED in Finland and Sweden. Bring it!

I could not even dream of such a warm welcome to the Danish industry with this magical show 🥀❤️🫶🥰
Our production has been praised everywhere and I am very very happy that audiences enjoy the kind of musical theatre I love the most. This is such an important personal milestone for me as well for I have hoped to enter the Danish industry for several years. This feels good, and I am so proud and happy for everyone involved ❤️ @disneyonbroadway @lionmusicals @harjannecompany @disneydanmark

LA TRAVIATA opens tonight at @vanemuine in Estonia 🇪🇪🍾🥂✨This marks a major celebration for me and @harjannecompany for this is indeed the very first replica production of an opera we have created. Our original production opened @tampereenooppera @tamperetalo in 2024, and today we get to celebrate the Estonian premiere of this same praised production!

When we first got the opportunity to create this opera, we were approached with a challenge to attract new audiences to opera performances. I wanted to create a production that I would enjoy watching and happily I can tell that so do others. When we were approached by Rahvusteater Vanemuine to bring our production to Estonia, we couldn’t have been happier. I have fallen in love with this art form, and hope for future productions to arose also from the world of opera.

I couldn’t have done any of this without the fantastic creative team around me: @peter__fransen @_tinja @johanssonjack @ristojoost and Toni Haaranen. Thank you for your creativity, hard work, and dedication to this project. Only this way one can break international boundaries and reach further beyond. And I am enormously thankful for @ebipet who has been my assistant and actually rehearsed and set this entire opera production with the Estonian cast & crew! I am so proud of you and so happy to have you by my side. You brought your expertise and passion on board, and made this production much richer. Thank you 🫶

Everyone on and off stage are shining like the stars they are ✨ Rehearsing multiple casts has its challenges, but it also enriches the production as well as the lives of the creatives. So many new colleagues. I am very happy with what I see and hear on stage. May this production have a long life in Estonia! 🍾🥂🫶

Being a creative artist requires passion, imagination, and ability to remain imperfect.
Being a leader requires determination, vision, and patience.
Are these two far from one another?

In my everyday life, I aim to be both - a visionary creative artist & a passionate leader.

Leadership can be art, and one can be creative in leadership. Loving your work is a good start. Appreciating the craft of many within the live entertainment industry is the core element. And finally, having a vision for the goal is everything. It is not given to earn the appreciation of others, but one surely listens when these qualities are present.

I am directing my very first comedy! Comedy About A Bank Robbery by @mischiefcomedy ❣️ Past years have been expanding and broadening my professional spectrum and I am both scared and excited about this next chapter 😅🥹💥

I am a big fan of farces and comedies - I enjoy laughter and making others feel good. This play is simply fun! So much fun! And it is funnY! I admire everyone behind the PLAY THAT GOES WRONG legacy, and am humbled to get to spread my wings with this title.

My great creative team includes goofballs @j.uljas @vatto.elina @i_les_w @kontueeva Jaakko Virmavirta 💕 My cast is so much fun! I am so humble and happy to start working with hilarious Risto Kaskilahti @leino.linnea @kujallla Merja Larivaara @martti.manninen @lasselipponen Jouko Klemettilä Rauno Ahonen @s.suonpaa @railidiamonds @kailahdesmaki @samulipetrus ja @kaisatorkkel 🌸 And a new translation by @paavoleppakoski

Wish me luck 🍀 It’s going to be a wild ride, and so much fun! Did I mention, it is going to be fun?!
