Honed in on deepening my skills as a coach this year & ended up surprising myself ⛸️

• Stepped into a higher role coaching our competitive synchronized skating team — HARLEM ICE
• Grew as a choreographer & created 3 pieces this season
• Did the inner work to refine myself, step into my highest version this chapter, & embody the same discipline I expect from my students

Wow, Auntie! You truly transitioned with a big bang—as the Diva you are—on the day of Kuumba• Creativity (6th Day of Kwanzaa, New Year’s Eve). It feels surreal, yet it reminds me that you lived this life in purpose and on purpose 💟 Kuumba is extremely fitting because you were a creative & the 31st is the day you were born. Completion! The end is never the end, it’s just a new beginning. You truly changed all our lives for the better!

Thank you for ushering us into the New Year as a family and renewing our sense of Imani • Faith (7th Day of Kwanzaa). I’m grateful to have known and witnessed a true warrior Princess in the flesh—one who faced cancer more than once and, this time, made a profound choice to surrender.
