Here is a mini album sampler of Odyssey, mainly beats/instrumental segments. I think I said I was done with it around March, but the time is finally here. I put everything I have into it. It has some highs, lows and everything in between.

Ultimately, it is a sequel and companion to Oracle, but it improves on the concepts of that record in every single way IMO. I poured my heart into this thing and worked hard in order to get it where I knew I could.

I'm finally moving into the mixing/EQ/mastering stage. I never envisioned myself as a producer/song-writer/composer etc., but I deeply needed to get these sounds out of my head (and NO ONE was going to do it for me).

There are imperfections and limitations to my novice musical abilities, but I'm proud of what I've accomplished. I know every single day I'll improve, as an artist and human being.

Thank you for reading this far. Odyssey is coming very SOON!

Much love 🪽

I entered a Discord remix contest for the Oklou song "Harvesy Sky". I've never worked with stems or attempted a remix in my life, I'm not a DJ or "producer". I had about two weeks to get it done and submit it on time. There were moments where I felt lost, insecure or just not sure If I could even do this.

My version was mixed, finished, and submitted on August 7th, a few hours before the deadline. I wish I had more time, but I'm ultimately happy with what I was able to accomplish. It has its imperfections, some of the transitions are not smooth, but at the end of the day, it's 100% my own. The closest I could get between my current "sound" and that of choke enough.

By the end of it, I felt drained/exhausted and like I really needed to mentally/emotionally rest. I have never worked so hard on a piece of music in my entire life. I would go to bed and wake up with the main synth melody looping in my head, haunting me in a way.

It was worth it though. I learned a lot and will apply it to my own work. I just want to keep improving as an artist, forever growing.

Thank you to anyone who will give my music a chance. Also, thanks to Oklou, underscores, Casey MQ, Danny L Harle, Nick Leon and everyone else who worked on the original song.

Much love 💙🪽

Here are some images off the Oddysey mood board (jk)

I've said multiple times that this record is done or that I'm "almost there". I know, in my heart of hearts, the album is DONE done. I've put everything I have into it and every single piece, to me at least, feels right.

It is an extension/companion to Oracle, so it shares many central themes (lyrically, sonically, etc.) but it honestly is such an improvement on that initial sound. It's ultimately an accumulation of work, time, mistakes and growth. As a person, partner and artist.

This project is one of the best things I've ever done and I can't wait for you guys to hear it. I pray to keep learning, absorbing and mastering this craft.

THANK YOU!
