SEE Monsters at Western Front
Saturday, Nov 26th, 2022, 8:00 p.m.
By donation.

Western Front is pleased to present Bracken Hanuse Corlett (@wuulhu) and Dean Hunt (@dean_hunt_art), performing as See Monsters (@seemonsters604), an audio-visual duo that fuses together Northwest Coast bass music, remix, moving images, and transformative spaces.

Performing in complement to the current exhibition, "Storytelling and Stewardship", the See Monsters are reemerging after a lengthy hiatus from the stage and are readying the machines and polishing the buttons to share time and space with an audience once again.

The evening will feature an opening DJ set from Oka (@steveoka_art ). by @seemonsters604

The rain blessed us for the last couple nights at the Facade Festival. Here is part 1 of the piece designed by @dean_hunt_art and @wuulhu with additional sound from @troysoundsgood and animation/vfx @firebeasty and the trusted help from @spottedfawnproductions animation direction. Big thanks to @burrardarts and @go2productions for curation and technical support. And extra shouts to all who braved the elements to come out and support all of the artists. #facadefest #projectionmapping #nwc #heiltsuk #wuikinuxv #kwakwakawakw #coastsalish #bubbles #ocean #waem #monsters #seemonsters #bass #boombap #canoe #skipper #fishing #deep #beebeep by @seemonsters604

Here is a trailer for a collaborative piece that will be debuting at the Facade Festival on Sept. 11th, 2019. It will be projected on the front of the Vancouver Art Gallery from sundown to midnight.

This project was designed by @dean_hunt_art and Bracken Hanuse Corlett aka @wuulhu and the audio track was also made by Dean with additional sound design and foley from Troy (SoundsGood) Slocum. Animation came through the Spotted Fawn Productions Studio with Keith Morgan VFX/Animation and Amanda Strong Animation Director.
Big thanks to these fine People. 💜✨💜 It is a short piece that is an iteration of a longer mix and it will play alongside Josh Hite and Justine A. Chambers work for the night. It will play with all of the pieces in the festival on the 13th and 14th of this month as well. #facadefest #facadefest2019 #animation #nwc #northwestcoast #wuikinuxv #heiltsuk #kwakwakawakw #coastsalish #vag #sept11 by @seemonsters604
