#latepost It’s been a trip since a weekend ago, but wanted to share these pics from our show at the Western Front. It was fun to see some friends and stomp around past curfew. We were also joined onstage by our brother EarthChild and he snapped these pics too! Big vibes. Thanks to Oka for opening up and Gia’nakaci to Paula and the Western Front for pulling us out from our Sea Caves. Till next time 🌊👹🌊👹

Happy Ya-gish sea monster solstice greetings to my @seemonsters604 buds Bracken and Dean. I love this image by Ozistalis (Chief Henry Speck), born 1908 on Turnour Island, a Hamatsa dancer of the Klowitsis. This is a 1960s Christmas card honouring West Coast art that my dad received 6 decades ago, weirdly its from @luckylagerbeer. There's 4 in the series. #Klowitsis #Ozistalis

Pt 1 - Over the years, Canada Day has become more of a reminder to me to continue to truly learn our history and honour the Indigenous people of these lands. . This year, I'd like to share the profiles of a few people who I follow, and who I listen to and learn from. Now, most of you don't know me so heyyyyy! Thank you for all you do and allowing me to witness what you bring - whether it's activism, healing, art, or all of the above, I am grateful. . Slide 1 - @sarainfox, who I began following after watching @futurehistorytv on @aptn_ca. Highly recommended viewing for all Canadians. Sarain inspired me to continue to learn my own truth. 🙏🏼 . Slide 2 - @runningfoxbeads, who's work I believe I was introduced to through Sarain. Skye makes the most beautiful jewellery, and one day I will be quick enough to score a piece of her high demand creations! 💍 . Slide 3 - @shayla0h, who I was introduced to through @oneyogalions. Although I have yet to be able to take one of her yoga classes, I have learned so much more just by listening to her in this space. 🕉 . Slide 4 - @autumn.peltier, inspiring, sacred, Chief Water Commissioner. 💧 . Slide 5, 6, 7 - @dean_hunt_art and @wuulhu, who I was introduced to via their collaboration on @seemonsters604 - captivating, modern yet traditional art and story telling. 🎵 . While today I will spend more time continuing to read the final Report of the National Inquiry Into Missing Indigenous Women, Girls, and Gender Diverse People, I have also made a donation to the Native Women's Association of Canada @nwac_ca. I encourage all my fellow Canadians to take the time today to learn about our true history, and those who have been on these lands since time immemorial. . Link in bio for 150 acts of reconciliation - that should get you started 😘
