2026 is an eventful year so far with personal heartache, more ticks on the travel list, a fantastic birthday party, very strong sales with support from galleries, fair organisers and collectors and a juicy abundance of creativity. It’s been a challenging year for many and i hope I’ve been able to bring some love, hope, positivity and colour to you. In troubling times we need some magic. We need to be taken to fantastic places even if briefly. We need to be reminded of what is positive and possible. I can be obsessive and I’ve been cutting and sticking most of the last few days working on my second invisible circle. I’ve blended two sets of contrasting colour groups to give a rather rich pattern. Once lenticulated the blues and greens will be separated from the yellows/oranges/reds to give two invisible circles. My experimental 60x60 cm petals bloomed in spring 2026 and quickly found there way to new homes across London. I decided to create two sets of 80x80 cm giant petals - one in blues and another in shades yellows/ oranges which I recently reproduced in a smaller size. This piece brings together a revived classic diamond with a new pink and green ripple with the two images merging and playing as you moved to see the kinetic / dynamic change. It’s 60x60 cm and presented in an excellent black frame with art glass provided by @projectframing . Here is my first invisible circle without kitchen distractions. It’s shows a super pure lenticular effect with a subtle shift between the two elements that give the geometric pattern. This design was created earlier this year as an experiment and the pattern informed and combined the words hope and love in my shield. Inspired by something recently ( no idea what) I wanted to create an invisible circle and here it is- my first invisible circle- a new series for 2027? What do you think?
