Welcome to the wonderfully eye-catching work of London-based artist @senashah_artwork We met Sena some months ago and quickly started to explore an exhibition of his work here at our arts centre.

Following a career in health & social care management (also a short stint designing beer delivery systems), Sena began to explore his innate creativity through a series of abstract, geometric, colourful designs. He is currently working with felt; bold, strong colours in delicate fabric, occasionally adding foil, resin and neon.

Sena’s unique techniques to to create an increasing range of complex felt designs that test colour combinations and that, like magic, change and transform before our every eyes.

We’re super-excited that Sena will have a solo show in late 2024 with Prema but for now (by way of a teaser trailer) he has left a couple of pieces here for permanent display (until his show). The source painting is inspired by a river in Northwest Greece. It’s beauty, translucency, dark wild descent, intriguing mythology and sinister association with death inspired Miles’s original abstract. Both artists agreed it was a suitable topic for collaboration, suiting Sena’s technique of working with felt and lenticular process.
