Lee was the quiet blessing on the Trask family, and nobody can change my mind! 🤍

Through Lee, East of Eden hands us one word: timshel, “thou mayest.” It means you aren’t stuck with your past. Yes, our upbringing shapes us. Yes, we’ve been hurt. But you have permission to explore the possibility of change and break the pattern…

… And so do the people who hurt you. 👀

Thank you @misterhoonlee for bringing Lee to life so beautifully. 🙏🏾

If you haven’t watched East of Eden on Netflix, you need to watch it! If you have, who was YOUR favourite character, and why? Adam, Lee, Cal, Aron, Samuel, or (be honest 😅) Cathy?

$We really need to talk about these extreme walking challenges. 😭🚶🏾‍♀️ 50k, 100k steps a day… and then what? Walking is one of the best low-impact tools for fat loss, but if you push your body to the extreme, it often makes up for it in ways you probably won’t approve. If you’re trying to lose weight through walking, please remember that your body needs time to adapt. Jumping from a sedentary lifestyle into hours of walking every day can increase your risk of overuse injuries, persistent joint pain and even stress fractures. Walking really doesn’t need to be another extreme fitness trend. Tag your 100k step challenge friends 😂 #walkingforweightloss #weightlossjourney #fatlosstips #momfitness #stepchallenge by @seyi_flawless$

2026 has been raining babies in my circle 😂❤️ and it’s had me thinking a lot about what support for new parents actually looks like.

Sometimes being a good postpartum village isn’t about just doing more, but more about making life a little easier. Less pressure. Less mental load. More practical help. More grace. ❤️

PRO TIP: If you’re sending groceries to a new mom or new parents, think minimal prep. Pre-cut/washed fruits and veggies, easy snacks, ready-to-heat meals, etc. Please don’t send them a whole watermelon or pineapple that they now have to wrestle with. 😭😂 The goal is to remove work, not ‘lovingly’ deliver more of it.

Moms & dads: what support from friends made your postpartum season easier—or what do you wish someone had done for you? 👇🏾
And tell me: what did I miss?

Save this for the next new parent in your village. ❤️

After I had my son, my skin changed. Five years later, it still hasn’t gone back. Finding products that work for my “new” skin has been hard. On top of that, the time I used to have for skincare is gone.

Maybe it’s just me and not every mom, but this is my real life. A 10-step routine? Not happening. If it’s more than three steps, I’m out. 😅

So I’ve kept it minimal and leaned toward gentler, cleaner products since my skin changed. That’s worked for me, but it’s also kept me in my comfort zone.

Now I’m stepping out of it. My friend @mirabel.akpaka has successfully influenced me to buy @danglifestyle_ skin care products, so I’m finally getting on the Dang train!
I’m starting small with just the Everyday Gentle Foaming Face Wash, Ceramide Buffet Cream, Restoration Body Moisturizer and Glowgetter Body Oil

I’m using them for 30 days and I’ll show you my bare face again at the end. If you don’t see me, just know i’ve returned to my old ways 😂 Wish me luck! 🤞🏾

If your skin has changed like mine, and you have skincare solutions you swear by, please plug me! 👇🏾

First week of Kindergarten: DONE! 🥹🎒

And we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better first week.

While some of the little ones around us were understandably having a hard time saying goodbye on that first day, our son walked in HAPPY. No tears. No clinging. He settled in, did his things independently and was ready to start “big school.” It’s a huge deal because we know he has big emotions.

By the end of the week, he’d made new friends, was excited to tell us what he’d learned and is excited to go back!

And it made me realize… we had actually been preparing him for this moment for months, with the simple things we did at home.
From driving by, to talking positively about Kindergarten, to practising the little things he’d suddenly have to do without supervision: sorting himself out at lunchtime, opening his snacks, refilling his water bottle, dressing himself, switching his indoor/outdoor shoes and tidying up.

We didn’t just have to prepare him for where he was GOING, but for what he was LEAVING too. 🥹

That part was actually hard.

I think sometimes preparing our children for a new beginning also means helping them understand the ending that comes before it.

Of course, every child is different. A child crying at drop-off doesn’t mean they weren’t prepared, just as a child running inside doesn’t mean they’ll never struggle with the transition.

But for our little boy, I really think these small things made a big difference.

So I’m sharing everything we did in this carousel in case there’s a future Kindergarten parent who wants to save it for next year. ❤️

Kindergarten parents — how did your little one’s first week go? 🥹👇🏾

Have you noticed that when we see a post about bad friendship behaviour, our minds immediately start pulling up receipts? 😂

“Yup! This is exactly what she did to me!”

I was scrolling through the comment section of one of those posts, and i thought: what if we turned the mirror around first?

Before thinking about the friend who didn’t show up for you, or who never apologized, ask: Have I always shown up? Have I always apologized and made changes when i should?

Before thinking about how someone disappointed you, ask: Is there anyone carrying a disappointment caused by me?

This doesn’t invalidate what anyone has done to you. And it doesn’t mean accepting poor treatment.

It’s simply an invitation to self-reflect before we self-exonerate.

Because sometimes the friendship advice we’re so eager to send to somebody else… is actually for us. 😅

So before you tag her in your mind,

Sis, check if it’s you too. 😂💜

August was beautiful, and it was the most fun i’ve had in a while❤️
Definitely my favourite month after November.
My baby had his birthday, and my other baby turned five!
Had fun celebrating my 33BG and watching Spiderman with our friends.
Mentored some beautiful women with FAN and attended a day 2 grow!

The best part? September looks even more promising!
