Urban #tree stories… what would they share, if they spoke human languages? Deep gratitude for all urban trees that struggle yet provide joy and benefits to #cities and their creatures (two leggeds included). #villequebec by @sheilaboudreau

Thrilled to be acknowledged for my kids’ book on #greencities by the incredible MPP MMM @marymargaretbey ! I remember when I worked at the City of Toronto and you were Councillor, and you gave me the teasing nickname “Green Sheila” #cities #climate #naturebasedsolutions #nextgeneration Beautifully illustrated by @katy.dockrill ❤️ by @sheilaboudreau

mullein grows where mullein feels at home. I love this plant, it reaches over my head in a single growing season! A medicinal plant, not native to Ontario, but lives quietly and purposefully alongside native plants here. Apparently also historically used as a “rouge” by women by rubbing the leaves on their cheeks! #plants #lifelessons by @sheilaboudreau

On the school fence near my home, the kids have painted signs in many languages, on the theme of diversity and inclusion. I wondered what this lovely one means, and from searches online I believes it’s “love” in Mandarin ❤️ A beautiful message for our troubling times. #inclusion #diversity #community #nextgeneration by @sheilaboudreau

Very proud of our son @garethgransaull who has spent his life speaking truth to power, especially around politics, history and climate change issues. His op-ed is published in the September’s edition of Maclean’s magazine. #canadian wake-up call - I highly suggest you read the print version @macleansmag by @sheilaboudreau
