SHADOWMON
KAPU SYSTEM/VALLEY ROCKERS/RUFF NECK POSSE/SHARP LEFT WORKS STUDIO
KALIHI, OAHU, HAWAII

Wickedly talented man right here. I got to see him do his thing live this time and not on the turntables. (Mans a nice selector as well as multi-instrumentalist. I learned some forever songs my last go Oahu from him)
He does a lot sonically and management wise for everything he’s apart of. He was walking me through the business side of things which I love to hear everyone’s experience with that. It’s never not a lot of work.

He’s opened his home for me 2 times now and I look at life through this ancient lense with things like that and eating with people. That holds ALOT of weight in my own little world. Nick is a good dude. He’s a family man and a real fuckin nerd about music and records. I like that a lot.

I’ll publicly share a moment I never did since 2024. I had a day of not doing anything and it was after the first time I did Aloha Got Soul. Shadow asked me “what you doing tomorrow?” I said “ahh prolly nothing just chilling it’s my last day.” He said “no you’re not, I’m off tomorrow. You’re coming with me.” (Direct quote that is stuck with me for eternity) I said “aight.” Man took me on a 4+ hour ride to see some shit I wouldn’t have otherwise seen. During that ride I got listen to all this unreleased shit as well. I still have all the photos and videos from that day on my phone. Most memorable experience I’ve had traveling. So much so that I brought it up to him this time I was there.
